My experience at Jack in the Box today was exceptional. I don't usually eat fast food, but I had a friend of mine say that of fast food restaurants JitB has some of the better quality products. I don't know if it's chain-wide but the food at this location was quite good by fast food standards. I had one of the grilled chicken sandwiches, and it came to me looking surprisingly very similar to the way the picture portrayed it. It was grilled nicely, crunchy in the outside, not greasy. With the grilled chicken properly grilled, no undercooking, but still juicy. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and the bacon crisp. The fries are some of the best I can recall in recent memory, hot, crispy on the outside, soft in the inside. I was thinking as I sat there and ate it that I had certainly had sandwiches in Gastro Pubs at a far more premium price that weren't nearly as well prepared. But what I was most impressed with, was the staff, and in particular the man who took my order. I wish I would've made it a point to look at his name tag, but since I didn't, I'll try to describe him for the benefit of his employers. He was a tall, slightly heavy set, Black man, with a braids/dreds tired up at the crown of his head and a pleasant smile, and was at every turn proficient, knowledgeable, helpful and professional. He took my order after looking me in the eye and telling me he's be right with me, as he headed toward stage right behind the counter toward the drive-thru window. I saw him speaking on his headset as he returned to the cash register I was standing in front of, and he ask me what he could do for me today. I placed my order, with him retorting all the appropriate inquiries to each of the items I ordered to make them complete. He said he would have to step away while he made my milk shake, which he did and led a woman colleague to take over the register. I could see he was again talking on his headset, taking another order, but noticed that the woman now at the register was having some difficultly taking the order of the family that came in after me. He deftly completed the order on his headset, stepped back up to the register and started speaking fluent Spanish to the family for whom it was obviously their first language, as it was also a part of the difficulty the colleague was having in taking the order. He did all of this, with an ease and grace that left everyone, the Spanish speaking family, the colleague, and myself simultaneously in awe and with a feeling of wonder as to why all minor stressful situations couldn't be handled so well. I continued to observe him while I was eating my meal, and was so impressed by his easy manner and flawless professionalism, it made me wonder, no offence intended, what the Hell he was doing working at a Jack in the Box. Was he the manager? Or on some college internship program? He was so clearly over qualified to be behind the counter at a fast food restaurant, I was tempted to ask him what his career plans were, if he was currently in school or if he had thought of advancing himself in another, perhaps more substantive track. But if course, I didn't. To the owners/manager/Jack in the Box corporate management over this location, pay attention to this guy, he's got some amazing customer service skills and what seems an innate talent at stepping in and making multitasking look fluid and completely manageable. Individuals with his talent and skill set and what I observed as potential for managing people, he is far more valuable an employee than you might realize. He will one day be...
Read moreThere is a security guard there that does go there and he does intimidate customers he makes you leave before you even your food and you have showed him the receipt and Jack in the Box refuses to get back your money so you can't even sit down and eat there you just got to grab your food and go even if there is a 30-minute limit when he's there you just grab your food and you need to leave. I told him about his behavior and his code of conduct many of times as I have being a patriot there many of times and it's Cassie Smith that is going there not Lily florist that is my daughter. So I hope they make this correction on this website. I have had other Patriots, to me and start arguments and fights in there and he even got an into a fight across in the grass across the way from Jack In The Box unfortunately I was in the one that lost though. Too bad for her. But my point is Jack in the Box supervisors see this harassment they see that this lady was haggling me they see that she was banging on the door window and almost breaking it they see her coming up to my table and trying to make me scared or afraid of her innocence. Because she's picking on a lady with a disability I have six screws a plate in the woods in my back Jack in the Box noses and the lady knew this and so did the other Patriots. But the reason I want to fight is because I'm a good fighter and that's only reason why I won that fight is because I grew up in a rough neighborhood and it wasn't going to let nobody haggle me for 4 years and keep doing it and Jack in the Box was not going to do nothing so if I have to protect myself I will do so and she made me do so and they did nothing at all Jack in the Box did nothing. So now they have this so-called security guard there and yes he's supposed to do his job let people order their food sit there for the 30 minutes they're allowed to sit there or longer if they're good Patriots and when they're done if they have not bothered anybody and they want to go outside and have a conversation with their friends before they leave the restaurant or the grounds of that company they should be able to do so. Without being I want to say dominated or picked on or intimidate the Patriot or customer that comes there that is not his job to do so he's not even a policeman he does not even have a gun he has a stun gun and that is it. I just wish he would do his job a little bit more hospitality and a little less threatening that's what Jack in the Box needs and I think it would go a lot smoother there but I highly doubt they're going to change the security guard just from one or two people talking about him you know it's been so many over changes in there with management it must have changed about 4 * and the last 2 years so I really don't know what else to say but I was the management and the security guard was just had better management skills of dealing with our customers and patience with them that is what I would ask as a...
Read moreThe workers at this particular Jack-in-the-box are usually very attentive, & friendly. Dresses appropriately however since I usually go to this particular fast food chain. Couple of times a week, they know my face as a regular and started going there when i started my job on Airport Way South about 12 yrs ago so I have seen a whole new change over of workers. Last manager fired for being very discriminatory to a few people even to women with their children so someone called higher ups news stations being called, police, etc so all was investigated and everyone that worked under the last Manager & or Supervisor was all gone! I walked in one day and BAM! A whole new set of workers mostly Hispanics, latinos, which spanish is my 2nd language one time I heard them talking to eachother in spanish about a customer who was still standing there waiting, the things they were saying about her in Spanish loud & clear was rude, obnoxious, & totally unprofessional! Also would like to add Stupid, because they seem to think that people in America who do not look hispanic and their english is perfect is not gonna understand their language! Come on ladies!!! Spanish is the 2nd language in America! When you see signs up in places its in english and spanish. With me knowing spanish I was offended and disgusted that I spoke to them in their native tongue which all this time they never knew I knew spanish because they speak to everyone in english unless they look like their own race so I just kept speaking english back to them but that day when I interrupted their loud, bad, talking in spanish they had the nerve to get mad at me ok all in front of customers & proceeded to keep arguing with me and being unprofessional that I was the one who wad the bigger one and stopped to walk away! Yes i have history with this fast food chain & their employees and this place i see the same people working everytime i go in there to purchase something, it doesn't matter what day of the week it is!?! To make this loooong story shorter, they are better toward ME now because now they know I do speak their tongue fluently but they are in my homeland which i know my rights and laws here better than them so after making threats which I hoped They would not provoke me to do because I am a very nice person, fortunately for them they backed off little by little but at first acted like"Mean Girls" & would see me then ignore me, show disregard ro customers even behind me in line because thet HAD to take my order, again now we are better but for you fortunate ones who have never been at this Jack in the Box, they are definately nice, professional, & attentive with fast service like it should always be consistent, but no. The inside itself is always clean, the bathrooms and parking lot too. The food itself I enjoy and drinks, cakes and shakes. Thanks...
