First time coming to this place. A colleague suggested said they had the best sandwich (cuban/caribbean) sandwiches and I figured I would try them since I’ve been craving cuban food and let me tell you AVOID going to this place. The $65 parking ticket I got was NOT worth this sandwich. First of all their parking signs are not very well instructed. The restaurant color them are pink and there were sign saying “paid parking” and there was also an open lot. I saw a few cars parked there so I figured I could park there however, because I wasn’t sure about it and wanted to avoid a ticket, I went in just to ask if I could park there I was literally there within seconds came out at 1207 and I had a ticket issued at 1207 for a $65 fee. I tried looking for the person issuing tickets to see if I could get this fee waived since I was inside only for seconds to ask if I could park there or not but he was nowhere to be found. I think he hides somewhere and when he sees a car parking as soon as the people go inside he fines them. Anyways, so since I couldn’t find he/she I moved my car where the restaurant staff said was okay. It was literally within seconds that this person gave me this ticket. Now, I get my food and the sandwich was not even good. The steak tasted funny if you can even call it steak, there was only that much cheese and the size and chunkiness of the onions. I ended up just eating the bread by itself scraped off everything else because I was really hungry, annoyed about the ticket and I spent appx $18 for that sandwich. I was left with a funny taste in my mouth not sure from what. But definitely not the place to come get food. Definitely not in my repeat list. I ended up eating bread with ketchup for lunch and with a $65 ticket fee. Oh and when I left there were a bunch of other people with tickets on their windshield who parked where I did too, I’m guessing the assumed the “paid parking in pink signs” belong to the restaurant yet the person nowhere to be found.

Really 2.5 stars though. Damn, was really excited about this new (to me) location closer to the airport but it was pretty disappointing overall. Of course the #1 sandwich was really good but that was about all. The Alaskan cod sandwich hardly had any fish inside and was mostly just bread and onion. The fish was more of just a few small flakes doused in aioli instead of a filet as I had expected. The fries were ok but barely warm. They are a huge portion at $6 but that is steep if I were on my own. Would be nice to have a smaller option for less money. Also when I asked for ketchup the server said she had to go look for it and took 10 minutes to find it and only brought some when asked again. Guess we are the only folks in seattle that like ketchup on fries? Lastly the staff seemed not to have much experience or training in the art of customer service. Had to correct the order twice when it was repeated back and she still missed ringing up a drink and didn’t offer a receipt so I couldn’t see if I was charged for it or not. Then one of the sandwiches still came out with jalapeños on it despite me ordering them on the side. They were all polite but seemed to be a bit clueless when asked questions about the menu or what was in the drinks. Sadly I would not return to this location especially for the price of $66 for 2 of us to get 2 sandwiches, 2 mixed drinks and an order of fries…Was hoping to be wowed but nope.

We stopped by here for a sandwich and it happened to be a day that there was a Mariners game. Despite that the wait wasn’t long and when we walked in, we walked right up to order. There is a ton of place for sitting both inside and outside, so it’s a great place to bring kids to the family. Parking we got lucky but otherwise I’m not sure where you would park beyond the few spaces reserved outside of this paid parking lot. - -My husband got the Paseo press and it was next level phenomenal. -I don’t eat pork much so I got the fish sandwich and it really wasn’t that wonderful. We took the sandwiches to go so that could have been part of it, they just didn’t seem to travel that well. The bread is really great, but the fish was bland. In hindsight, maybe I should have ordered the shrimp. -We love the yucca fries and the tostones, those were some of the best parts of the meal with the excellent dipping sauces that were flavorful as well. -The habanero wings were soooOOOOO spicy and I eat spicy food all the time. How do normies eat these?!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS RESTAURANT FOR CATERING SERVICES!!!! They assured my sister that they were well-equipped and well-prepared to cater her wedding, but they completely dropped the ball multiple times. In fact, the servers at her wedding looked completely lost and clueless the whole night. she paid for 1 wine glass + 1 champagne flute at every place setting. They forgot to set them out. they were late setting up the buffet table, requiring the DJ stall for time while all guests were already seated and waiting for them to finish setting up when they were finished setting up the buffet table, they only used ONE side of the table for the buffet line. This worried me because I could see it would take over half an hour for 160 guests to get their food if there was only ONE line. I asked them to open up the other side so we could form two lines and move twice as fast, but they said they couldn’t do it. I asked again and the truth came out: they had only brought one set of utensils. I asked them to search for more utensils because it was frankly unacceptable; eventually they found more and opened up a second line but by this time most people had already (slowly) gotten their food. when it came time for speeches, they were supposed to pour the champagne. However, since the champagne flutes weren’t on the tables already, one of the servers had to pour the champagne at the bar, and then pass out the glasses individually. It took FOREVER for him to do this and delayed the wedding timeline significantly. Also, he poured the champagne into WINE glasses instead of the champagne flutes. It was a comical sight servers were extremely passive in cleaning up; dirty plates were still on tables well over an hour after guests had finished eating.

All in all, Paseo’s catering services were a huge headache and very significant source of stress during the wedding. Had I not corrected them multiple times it would have been worse. I do not recommend...

First the good: taste and texture. Exceptionally well made roast pork and concept. Tasty but also a great mix of textures with the jalapeños and romaine and the onions are excellent.

The bread is stellar

The Yucca fries are legit and the accompanying aioli pairs perfectly.

That said

I understand that a Cuban Sandwich is inherently a bit messy but this is unacceptable.

  1. if you are going to cut a sandwich like this, cut it all the way through. If o have to do the work just leave it whole. As a matter of fact, this sandwich would have been easier to eat if it had been left whole.

Too wet for a sandwich. Drain the pork a little! At some point it's gonna negate the quality of the bread.

  1. if you are going to wrap a sandwich like this, do it properly. If the sandwich is falling out of your wrap job before I even try to pick it up, you did it wrong.

  2. half the ingredients fell out in the bag. If I have to clean my hands between every bite it's too messy. That's not a sandwich.

Which leads me to:

  1. INCLUDE NAPKINS IN YOUR TOGO ORDERS. The server handed me the bag of food and pointed to napkins but silly me made an assumption that SURELY THEY WOULD PROVIDE NAPKINS IN A TOGO ORDER THEY KNOW IS MESSY. alas I was wrong.

That's terrible service.

So while the food tasted pretty darn great, the experience was exceptionally disappointing. Go here and sit at a table to eat with a fork to minimize the mess; but bring sanitizer, wet naps, and an entire roll of paper towels with you just in case.

Also good luck...
