My husband is taking classes at MITAGS, so most days I'll meet him in this park and we'll have lunch together. Today someone came up to us and asked us where the park was. We told him he was in it. He said, "really?" And looked around, baffled. The moral of this story is that "park" is a rather grand term for this landscaped road terminus. When we eat there we sit on a boulder under a tree: there are no picnic tables or anything, and but one bench, behind the orange road blocks at the end of the drive. There's a water view, but it's half obscured by a container ship. It's fun to watch containers get loaded, though! There are pretty shrubs and bushes, but nothing makes it special or worth a trip. If you happen to be taking classes at PMI, you might want to eat lunch here, but then again there are picnic benches in the parking lot of the building...
Read moreThere really was no park to speak of. No water access either. Just a little parking lot with the trash can and a little paved area with some plants. At the end of the parking area there was a little barrier and behind the barrier was one bench and rocks overlooking the water. Not good for walking around or anything like that. Nice place to go sit but very noisy from all of the trucks and equipment working...

The problem with this park, as with many in Seattle, is that it has a large homeless encampment. There are lots of used needles on the ground as well as other garbage and human waste. I would not recommend visiting alone unless you are a fairly large individual...
