Im convinced I didn’t go to the same spot as all of these other folks. Based on the reviews I really wanted to like this place but honestly, I paid $20 for a meal + tip that I didn’t even want to finish. The cost to quality ratio is quite absurd. The pork wasn’t bad on my “plate” (here, a plate consists of two giant, thick slabs of meat, unsliced. + a small cut pile of tomatoes and three slices of pita), but my zucchini “chips” were so bad. They were incredibly slimy and not crisp in the slightest. I’m big on the texture of things, so I didn’t eat them. The breading was clearly done haphazardly and again, for the price, it’s insanity. I literally ended up just eating two slabs of meat with tzatziki on them for $20. I don’t normally like to leave bad reviews but honestly this was a severely disappointing experience. If you’re able to go over to Magnolia, Nikos Gyros is unmatched, cheaper, and knows how to fry things lol. I guess the lady at the register was nice, so that’s good. But yeah I won’t be returning and I’d suggest a...
Read moreStopped by & had the pork w/a side of zucchini chips, spicy lamb meatballs w/lemon rice pilaf, & halloumi fries. The pork was excellent 👌🏽 It was seared, seasoned well, and savory. The zucchini chips were so good - crispy and light. Neither the pork or zucchini needed sauces to be honest but the tzatziki sauce was light and gave it a nice touch. The lamb meatballs were "ok" not spicy and rather spongy. Although they tasted like lamb, I've had lamb that tasted much better. There should definitely be a lamb chop plate or something lamb not meatballed. The lemon rice pilaf, also okay. It was a bland side. The fried halloumi cheese fries were also "okay" tried them with spicy feta sauce and gave them a little more flavor. But nice to try if you've never had them. Tried the frozen yogurt and baklava, with honey n walnuts drizzled on top ♡ omg, soooo good.
The atmosphere was great quiet enough for conversation and quaint.
The service was excellent. Friendly, customer service...
Read moreWhat a cute little spot!! A Phinney gem, for sure…inside is very bright, modern, and curated to make it seem like you stepped into Greece. And it does feel like it! With the clean white walls, splash of blues with olive branches scattered throughout. They were soooo friendly too. Superb service!
The food was super yummy and flavorful! We had the chicken and pork pitas, and both were so juicy and seasoned so well. The pitas are a hefty size, too. So we came out super full!! You can make it a plate for a few bucks more. And the Avgolemono soup!!! 🫶That was such a nice, surprisingly flavorful dish! It reminded me of congee….a refreshing congee with a hint of lemon. So comforting! They have great kid options, as well. You can pick any of the proteins and get either fries or rice with it. I highly recommend going to Kipos for some excellent Greek food...
