2/15/22 I have to say that this place is one of the best if not the best authentic mexican taco shops in Seattle. Family owned, and I don't know how long it's been there. My friend who lives just blocks from it says it's been there for years. Open fairly late and are take out only now due to the pandemic, but they used to be avle to dine in or outside. Their burritos are twice the size of my wrists and if you can eat a full one and your at home, you best be in your favorite chair or at least a comfortable one because you won't want to move you'll be so full. They are a small family owned business, and I have no complaints, but maybe a couple of recommendations. I noticed that when my friend goes with me, he gets the chicken tacos, and it comes with beans and rice for around $15. The burritos are huge with no beans and rice for the same price. I would be happy if it came with the two sides even if they had to make the burritos smaller. You definitely get what you pay for and are totally worth it. If I had to order the sides with mine it would cost over $25 and there is no way I would be able to eat all of it(again because the burritos are so fricken huge)and as a dinner it would be nice to have a couple sides with a main dish. That is actually my only recommendation, not a complaint by any means. I'm so happy with them that when I pay my for my $15 burrito with a $20. I have never accepted my change. The tip jar is right there at the counter. If you like mexican food, give this place a try. You'll be glad you did. P.S. They did have dine in, and I'm sure they will again, but because of the pandemic and it being a small establishment, they do not at this time but do have a small outside...
Read moreVery, very disappointed in my experience after all the hype around this place.
We got take out as it’s a small establishment with minimal seating. We ordered an adobada burrito and quesadilla. The burrito comes unwrapped, and is prone to falling apart. It is very thick, but not in a fun way. The meat was plentiful, but extremely dry. There were more soggy onions than beans or rice combined. I had to resort to a fork at the halfway mark as the bottom fell out. The quesadilla’s meat to cheese ratio was actually terrifying. It had extremely thick cheese in some places with no meat, and the same dry meat in other places with no cheese. Both were dry, bland, messy, and just plain disappointing. Salsa was available but pretty mediocre.
Also to note, there are a lot of online menus floating around that have VERY incorrect prices. For example, the burrito was advertised for $5.75 online, and was $15 at the shop. A burrito this bad, may have been worth it for 5.75, but not 15. Do...
Read moreI haven't eaten here since the pandemic lockdowns started, but I would often grab takeout whenever visiting friends in the Queen Anne neighborhood back then. I imagine these days that takeout is all that they offer--and just as well, because there is next to no space to eat in here! It's a tiny tiny tiny tiny little joint. That being said, the portions are good, the cost is reasonable, and the food is good. For a little taco shop just sort of randomly positioned near the top of Queen Anne hill, it's surprising and refreshing, and I can't imagine not grabbing lunch from them if I'm in the area. Surprisingly, parking is usually not an issue. It's smack in the middle of a residential area, and there has always been easy parking in the many times that I've been there. You might have to walk for a couple of minutes, but you won't have to fight...
