Wanted to try this place hoping for comfort food and authentic Irish Cuisine. Unfortunately we won't be returning. Our first mistake was going upstairs where the bartender was also the server. Our drinks came out and since we had trouble loading the menu from the QR code we weren't quite ready to order our food. He left and ignored us for 20 minutes. Other people were seated and even got appetizers before he came back to take our order. We ordered Poutine as an app, Shepherds Pie and the Pork Shank. We never got the Poutine as an app instead it came out with our meal almost 50 minutes later. When we went to try the Poutine it was cold and the meat on top was flavorless and bland. Hoping the entrees would be good (they were actually hot) we dug in. First of all the Shepherds pie is $22 but the portion was minimal. I wasn't expecting Cheesecake Factory size but I was expecting more than a few scoops of the mixture over some very bland potato mash mix on top. The Pork Shank was even worse. While it was warm it had some cold spots and was absolutely bland and flavorless. The bar tender didn't even apologize for the cold food and he begrudgingly took it off our bill. Waiting over 50 minutes and paying just over $70 for cold bland food was not my idea of a good night spent patronizing a...
Read moreThis is less of a bad review and more of an epitaph. If you are going here for the first time, their food is fine. But, if you were a long time regular previous to the new owners taking over, I would say it is not worth returning. Anyone who went to Mulleady's previously knew that the food and staff were EXCEPTIONAL. Like, beyond amazing. And the atmosphere was immaculate. The food tonight was disappointing in comparison. Again, that's not to say that what I ate (Mulleady's Burger, which is different to what it was previously) was bad, but it was not the AMAZING experience it was before. The staff was nice enough, but after being a regular who got to know both wait and kitchen staff, it was jarring to go in and see no familiar faces. I hope they are all ok. The food has certainly suffered from the departure of Ken. I don't know the circumstance under which any of them left, but I do know what the result of that has been - an experience that doesn't nearly lived up to what it was previously. I have no ill will to anyone, but I did leave broken hearted tonight. I really, really loved this place. If you're popping in for a quick bite it does the job. But it is not the amazing neighborhood eatery that it used to be....

Couldn't be more surprised by where this place is now at. On the latest menu update they removed all vegetarian options other than salads and 'small plates'. Being people that live close and have been here 40+ times we mentioned we were disappointed and asked if they were going to making any additions.
When our food came, the fish and chips (I'm not vegetarian) were obviously very old and fishy. Some of the worst I've had in my life; so bad it felt intentional. We quietly told them that we were not happy with the food.
The manager came out, told us that we had been rude to the server and that while he would pay for our bill, to never come back. We were shocked - at no point were we rude, loud, or anything other than a respectful customer. You can see (and smell) how bad the fish was.
I have never experienced anything like this, and if this is who Mulleady's now is, it is a very sad loss to this neighborhood.
Update: Owner claims this isn’t their food. Just say take a close look at the glasses and plates. I’d happily share the geolocation on the photo. The lies are no surprise - you’ll have a great time here as long as you don’t...
