They took out their parking lot. It was always small and awkward so they turned it in to a u-shaped drive way. There's usually street parking on the same block, but no off street parking is a bummer. Pagliacci's is usually my go-to for take out pizza. They have easy online ordering and offer delivery. Madison is my "home" location if I'm picking up. The one on Broadway is closer to me, but parking off Broadway is such a pain. I'll order online then drive the 10 mins to the Madison location to pick it up myself as it's faster than waiting for the delivery guy on a weekend and less hassle than going to the Broadway location. Pizza choices are good. A fave is their goat cheese primo with added chicken sausage. The Margherita is a solid choice as well. I have a gluten free friend and I like the GF crust, it's crisper than the regular one. Their salads are surprisingly good. Big fan if their Cesar. I also like they let you take as many red pepper flake and grated parmesan packets as you want. They have them on the counter so you don't have to ask staff for them. This is a family friendly eat-in location. I always see at least one family with kids here every...
Read moreI've been going back and forth on whether my last 17" pepperoni pizza (March '24) was 4-ish or 5-ish. At first I didn't like it much, but since reheating and having some the next morning, the crust has been constantly on my mind. It's not that it's unusually flavorful or anything, but there was some subtle taste that I didn't like at first and really wasn't to try again now. (not crunchy, not overly soft; not bland but definitely more Japanese-subtle than Texas fireworks, for sure) The pepperoni content was plentiful. Cheese was sufficient, not excessive. I'm looking forward to trying more pies from this location (Madison). By the way, the salad was delicious. Just for that I should bump up to five stars. (Later: I did bump it up to five stars and then, sometime later I dropped it back down to 4 because our last pie was rather excessively salty. Even the salt fiend of the household...
Read moreI liked this place the first 2 times I came but today when I asked for a slice of meatball primo. She grabbed the tray with a skinny slice that had half a meatball, the bottom half of the pizza had no toppings on it, not even cheese, just crust with a bit of marinara. She scrapped a little bit of cheese and part of a pepperocini off the empty pizza tray and put it on top of the slice of pizza that looked like it belonged in the trash, and she put it in the oven and said “next.” I walked out. I’m not paying $5 plus tax for a skinny slice of pizza with half a tiny meatball and 1 pepperocini on it. I was in complete disbelief. I did not expect her to serve me that slice. Again it looked like it belonged in the trash. No way. Such a huge disappointment. Just a nurse on her break looking for a slice of pizza . I...
