Overall Thoughts: This is the first Chinese yogurt spot I’ve been to in the U.S. and after going to a couple more spots afterwards, Panda Yogurt is hands down the best of the best; their yogurt is delicious and comes closest to the real flavors of Beijing yogurt in China. It’s fresh, tangy, refreshing, and both tart and sweet. The texture is smooth and thin, yet creamy. It’s mostly a takeout spot, as the place is small. It’s decorated simply and cutely, but there are no tables, only are a few chairs for waiting for your order. You order on the screen kiosks, and the staff are super sweet. During my short stay in Seattle, I went nearly everyday; if I lived in the city, I’d probably be here at least once a week. The prices are pretty reasonable too.
Yogurt drinks I tried: Salted Egg Yolk Yogurt (5/5): The perfect sweet-savory drink with a rich, unique, and delicious flavor.
Durian Yogurt (4.2/5): Tasted good but the flavors got a little too heavy / monotonous eventually.
Watermelon Yogurt (4.8/5): This one was lighter on the fruit / extra flavor so you could really taste the delicious, tart yogurt base. It was light and super refreshing! —
Price (relative to peers): 4.5/5 Food: 4.7/5 Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Overall...
Read moreIt took quite the moment to get our mango Yogurt. It's about $8 for this drink /dessert mix and it's pretty good, but for the size idk if it's better than the many tea spots around.
As far as taste this actually exceeded my expectations. I was expecting something similar to arroz con leche and maybe a thicker rice pudding consistency but it's more of a smoothie blend. The mango chunks are large and add a delicious sweet tart flavor that mixed really well with the oaty taste of the yogurt. It's not a large portion but its flavorful and worth a try.
We ordered from a screen and patiently waited. Around us there were 4 other people so we waited outside since theres no seating and the space is small and stuffy. By ordering online or through their computer there we were able to get updates through our phone and walked around. The wait was way longer than expected though with no explanation and others were noticeably annoyed. It was a good drink but more of a one and done...
Read moreThe owners are the nicest Chinese couple I’ve ever met! We were planning to get some fruit at a grocery store, but it was already too late. We went in this store around 9 pm, just to ask where the nearest open grocery was, and they kindly offered us some free fruit! We ended up buying a fancy yogurt bowl and left extra tip, but still, the amount of fruit they gave us far exceeded our expectations.
BTW, we tried the yogurt after getting back to the hotel, and it was sooo good! Totally refreshing! With a 4.7 rating and 250+ reviews, this place is a strong recommendation!
P.S. I know most people online are kind, but I’ve seen others take advantage of good hearted folks. What happened to us was unplanned, and we DID PAY EXTRA to show appreciation for their generosity. I sincerely hope no one will take advantage of their kindness by expecting free food or criticizing them for not offering more. I just wish that good people don’t have to suffer for being...
