This was NOT PHO! Very disappointing as I love pho but this should not be allowed to be called as such. We also ordered cho mein (not sure of spelling) and it consisted of extremely dried out noodles as was the beef in it, it was leather. This had obviously been sitting for a very long time in some warmer, some of the onions in it had started to carmelize. The fried rice we ordered was in my opinion the only edible thing that came to the table and sadly it could not be called good. I normally only give a review when I love the place but felt compelled to make an exception this time due to just how awful it was. I did not eat the soup or the cho mein after tasting them. Sadly I ended up tasting them for hours afterwards anyway. I consumed half a tin of altoids and three ginger ales in an effort to settle my stomach. Then had a rough night of frequent trips to the restroom. That was by far and above one of the worst meals I have ever had. I am nauseated still just thinking about it but thankfully I feel better this morning. I only took the time to give this review in an effort to spare someone else the after effects of eating there that I just went through. Now I hope to never let this place cross my mind again but I can definitely make sure it never again disturbs my...
Read moreRead moreWe really want to support our local small business but we were taken advantages of, with their new business practices: #1) One needs a phone to scan QR code to view menu & prices (not convenience for older folks, even the young one found out their online prices are outdated. #2) They now charge 3.5% for use of credit/debit card in addition #3) to extra $1 per menu item for some system charge. #4) There was NO sign in the restaurant indicated such charges NOR advance warning of such charge by the cashier, NOR any note that they preferred cash. #5) and the payment system placing 20% tip up front and made it harder to enter "Other" tip option (this is a pressure scam!). We're learning to pick Other and leaving a dollar amount instead, which mostly less than the standard tip. 2 large Pho + 1 small Pho set us back $60. Dinners beware! Very poor experiences when this is not all...
Pho An always has the most delicious Vietnamese food and the nicest people! Definitely my favorite pho in the Seattle area. I live in Capital Hill and make my way up to Lake City routinely just to get pho from here. It’s the best! I don’t think you can go wrong ordering anything from Pho An, but the pho with rare beef is my go-to. The meat is good quality and they never skimp on the amount. Their broth is rich, flavorful, and piping hot, but never too heavy or salty and small bowl is more than enough for me, so it’s a great value as well.
Lately I’ve been getting takeout with curbside pickup and they haven’t let me down. The food is always super fresh and packaged very neatly and carefully. Although interaction with the server is limited nowadays, they’re always extremely kind and friendly which I really appreciate! Getting food from Pho An is...
