In my opinion, this place has the best grilled pork bahn mi in Seattle. I've been eating here for about 20 years. Google maps has been terribly confused about this place, which I had to struggle repeatedly to get properly listed. It is at 1237 Jackson, just west of the intersection with Boren, on the south side of the street. It is NOT Saigon Vietnam Deli, which actually has an address on 12th Ave. It is NOT on Brooklyn Ave. Street View will show you this place's sign. They toast the tiny baguettes just before making the bahn mi, a crucial detail. I like to request the lumpy red sauce they keep behind the counter to be applied to my sandwich. You should try this place. It has been concealed for far too long. I suspect confusion rather than malfeasance or enmity as the cause of the long concealment. Do try this place. This place started out on 12th Ave, but after a few years moved around the corner to this location. Obscure no more, I hope. A huge preponderance of the clientele appears to have Asian ancestors. I have had good food from the shrink-wrapped choices in front of the steam table, as well as from the steam table, so it is not just a...

The banh mi here is delicious, but the guy taking orders at the register needs to learn customer service skills.

My group of four came on 8/18 in the afternoon and we were treated very rudely for no reason. There were no other customers in the shop when we arrived. We're Vietnamese so we ordered in Vietnamese but the guy taking our order kept speaking to us in English. While taking our order he kept turning his back to talk to his coworkers and did not interact with us. There was no smile, thank you, or communication regarding payment/the status of our order. We were left standing at the register with our wallets out and had to ask when we could pay.

After we ordered several American customers came in and they were given good customer service. When our order was ready, they just put it in a bag and tossed it across the register at us. Again, there was no smile or thank you. We were respectful and did not do anything to deserve such rude service. We felt discriminated against...

I am very disappointed in the quality of my food. Yesterday, I had purchased a red pork banh mi, 3 bbq pork banh mi's, banh bo, a skewer of meatballs, and a pre-made tray of sticky rice with sausage and Vietnamese ham. All 4 of the banh mi were over toasted (the bread crumbled and was scraping the roof of my mouth), the bbq pork tasted like it was cooked in a pan and had that boiled tasted to it, in addition it was really fatty. The banh bo was not fresh, it was crumbly and smelled weird like it was made the day before and left sitting there. The sticky rice tray was awful, it was overly soft/ mushy on the outside and un-cooked (really hard, I can taste raw grain) on the inside. The meat ball skewers looked good but I can't tell you what it tasted like because they charged me for it and forgot to put...
