Has been a favorite place of mine since I was very little. My dad used to bring me in even before I could walk! I'm now 20 and I still go back every chance I get! I absolutely love it (and the ice cream is pretty great too)! I remember going in when I was around 4-5 with messy boy cut hair and a red cardigan and getting scoops right from the man himself 😄. Going back over the years I've gone in less and less frequently because I don't live as close. Each time I went in the boss knew me and would smile. A few years ago, his son started taking on more to keep the place in business. His son wasn't always around when I was little, but if he was he was usually in the kitchen. I recently went in after having a bit of a rough day and there was a family beside my mother and I. So my mom and I started talking about how we hoped there would be a time those kids could come back like I have been. It was just then that the son came up to me and asked if I used to come in as a little girl....

I don’t get the bad reviews.... This place is amazing. From the ice cream to the food. Of course it’s a bit pricey. It’s a small privately owned business. It’s not a chain. The owners are incredibly nice people. I’ve been going here for more than 20 years and I can’t say enough good things. It’s not their fault parking is limited. It’s Madison Park... They have continued to offer the best ice cream, food, and service even during unprecedented times. I bring my kids here, and have been going since I was a kid. I wasn’t sure what the closing time was as I pulled up and parked across the street to his shop. I pulled it up on google and it said it closed at 8. It was 6:58 when I arrived. The door was locked so I walked away and an elderly man came and opened it. He said he was closed but would let me in. I told him I checked first for this very reason.
