Shug's Soda Fountain and Ice Cream — Restaurant in Seattle

Not sure how I have missed this ice cream shop. It has been in West Seattle since November 2023 I believe. We immediately decided to try it. I love Lopez Island Ice Cream which is what they serve. It is a very cute shop on the corner across 7-11 with street parking. My kids had a regular big scoop of ice cream. I had the Brownie Sunday and shared with one of my kids. Everything was delicious. Staff was very kind and friendly. Next time we will try some of the ice cream sodas and the s'mores Sunday. Based on my first two experiences………. 5 stars ⭐️ baby!!! I have tried, the strawberry, luscious lemon, vanilla, pecan praline and cookies and cream (I know, I have a problem 🤪). I am an ice cream connoisseur and this place is doing some amazing things. My first combo of lemon and strawberry was a game changer. In my second trip they had sold out of strawberry so I tried blueberry (oh, I guess there’s more. It was good too, subtly sweet).

Can you have too many ice cream options in West Seattle? Not when they are on this level. It’s Shug’s and Husky...

Lovely, sunny interior but not somewhere I’d come back in a hurry. The servings were weirdly stingy…the server meticulously put two tinyyyy teaspoons of mango sauce over my scoop of icecream and my husband’s sundae was half air (the scoop just sat on the top of the cup leaving space in the bottom so there was just room for a drizzle of hot fudge.)
