WARNING: AFTER READING THIS REVIEW YOU WILL WANT SLAB TO CATER EVERY FUTURE EVENT!

Updating to include about my AMAZING catering experience with Slab for my graduation party! As a big fan of their sandwiches, I was delighted to hear that they offered sandwich platters. I worked with Allison from start to finish and having nothing but kind words to share about Slab's customer service.

I ordered sandwiches for 50 people and the portions are so great that we had several leftovers (aka hangover cure ). Each sandwich was cut in half and wrapped on the platter. They took such special care to label each sandwich type and even separated the vegetarian options which made it so easy for my friends. All of the guests were raving about the sandwiches throughout the party!

They accommodated my party time even though it was outside regular business hours and every member of the staff congratulated me when I picked them up Thanks for making my day so special!

All of the sandwiches are made of leftover meat from Lark. The bread is crispy and the meat is juicy- a hard balance to perfect. My partner got it for lunch yesterday & insisted we get it again today for me to try. We split the Cubano sandwich & the Brisket sandwich. Our order was ready within 15 minutes of the phone call! I also saw on their website they offer platters. This would be the perfect place to cater a party that pleases all! We will...

Every single sandwich I’ve tried on this menu is delicious and worth a visit. My most recent visit we got the Burrata and the 12 Hour Brisket and both were wonderful. The bread is fresh, perfectly chewy, and is toasted on the inside so each bite is crispy and delicious. The smoked brisket is prepared fresh each day (and by that I mean the day before so it has time to smoke overnight), so once it’s gone it’s gone, but it’s absolutely cooked to perfection and my number one favorite sandwich here. The Cuban with the pork confit is also deliciously tender and juicy and is my second favorite choice if the brisket is already gone for the day. I got the Burrata my most recent visit and the cheese was very soft and flavorful next to the fresh tomatoes and peppers, and is finished off perfectly with a tart balsamic dressing. A perfectly light and filling veggie sandwich for a warm afternoon. If you can snag a freshly baked cookie before they sell out, you absolutely won’t regret it. Today we got the chocolate chip with flaked sea salt and it was soft, chewy, and just an overall amazing treat to end my lunch with. Not to mention that the staff is always super lovely and kind, and they always make the visit worth it for me. Love this place for a delicious quick bite at...

Ever since Scratch on 12th closed down I’ve been on the hunt for place that makes sandwiches as good as they did, and I think I finally found it.

Much like Scratch, the sandwiches seem a bit small at first, but one bite and…omg the flavors. It’s well balanced, and by the time you’re done you’re full because the meat portions are juicy and generous. It passes my Chipotle test - worth the flavor and not leaving me hungry with a list price around $15.

I plan to try every sandwich they have, but the two I’ve gotten to were excellent. Thick, juicy meat, balanced and flavorful sauces and other items, and soft bread that completes the taste and feel. I even got a free cookie. I’m not much of fan of cookies, but this one continued the trend of being well balanced (and well salted), and everyone I shared it with enjoyed it.

The shop itself it just a counter and a drink fridge, no real place to sit. It works, it’s nice, but plan to take it to go.

I will be back here as often as I can, tho probably not as often as I’d like as they’re only...

Summary: Fantastic gourmet sandwiches with tons of flavor and perfectly baked bread. Prices are either just right or maybe even under-priced for the quality and quantity you get. Don’t pass on trying Slab if you want a great sandwich. We got the Cubano and Burrata sandwiches. The pork in the Cubano was incredibly tender and juicy - quality you’d expect at a much pricier sit down place. My only recommendation is it needs something sharp like yellow mustard (or more of it) or peppers to cut the fat in the sandwich. Still, it’s a solid sandwich that I can’t wait to try again but this time with a side of Mama’s Lil hot peppers. The burrata sandwich was perfect - deliciously soft burrata with a lot of flavor. The bread at Slab is NOT an afterthought. It has the perfect chew without taking over the flavors of the rest of the sandwich. Both sandwiches were pretty large and filling. Fries were a 10/10 - so crispy, salty, and fresh + the aioli they come with was tasty. Lastly, don’t skip the chocolate chip cookie - it’s worth the calories for sure
