This isn’t even a hotel, it’s a hostel with amenities. First of all, the rooms are so incredibly tiny- you walk in and there’s your shower, walk out of the shower and you’re immediately in a dirty walkway. The bed is hard, there’s no iron, the overall layout makes no sense. Second, there’s no support. I called customer service immediately upon seeing my room and it took an hour for somebody to tell me they couldn’t help me- but they said they’d call back and never did- then I used the chat where again they told me they couldn’t help me and then after calling again, was told that I can’t speak to a manager until Tuesday. Mind you it’s Sunday. I know there’s no front desk concierge, but the fact that there’s nobody to address an issue the same day is crazy. I did also call Marriott and even though they have now bought Sonder they also could not help me. This was so frustrating. I would not recommend booking this location ever again, the photos do not illustrate where you’re staying. In fact the lobby picture is not even the actual lobby. I think the moral of the story is that please know everything is going to be a lot smaller than you expect it to be, and no one will help you, despite this costing the same as a proper hotel.

Having paid nearly $450 per night, I anticipated a comfortable experience, particularly compared to other 4-5 star hotels in proximity. Regrettably, following two different stays in distinct rooms, my experience was subpar and I cannot recommend this establishment. Value for Money: The room size was disproportionately small. High noise. They do provide ear plugs. So I guess thanks... but you know it's loud if they offer it... Amenities: Severely lacking. Quality: Unacceptable—encountered issues with pillows, inconsistent and slow WiFi, and nonfunctional HVAC systems and fans. Location: While conveniently located near downtown restaurants and bars, the surrounding area was regrettably marred by prevalent homelessness and associated challenges, impacting the overall cleanliness and safety, especially during the night. Seattle/WA boasts numerous serene locales where I will opt to stay in the future. Staff/Service: The presence of staff and level of service were markedly inadequate, resembling more of an Airbnb experience. No one was available. Use the App...! for $500 per night. In conclusion, I strongly discourage anyone from staying here; it is overpriced and lacks comfort.

Small room with just the essentials (bed, TV, shower, sink, fridge, mirror) but fine for my needs. Maybe a bit tight for two. Everything was clean and the lockers were very useful for early check in/out. I do wish the room had some sort of closet but the drawers and six hooks/hangers they did provide were good enough for my shorter stay. Though this place is clean and modern, the walls are THIN! You could clearly hear whenever someone came in or out of their room and especially suitcases rolling down the hall (which was really only an issue when people checked in in the middle of the night). Overall though this place fit my needs fine. The location was good. Lots of restaurants and stores around. 10 min walk from the light rail (only an inconvenient walk with luggage, otherwise not bad) and about a 20 min walk to Pike Place Market (15 min with the nearby bus stops). Also there’s no elevator (at least that I could see) so prepare to hike all your luggage up stairs!

I just returned from 12 nights, was supposed to be 10 but Icelandair cancelled flights due to weather. I chose it for price. Which was good value.. its in a nice building in a vibrant area. Plenty of places to eat, coffee and supermarkets nearby. I was on a budget so 10 min walk (in the snow) to metro station at Capitol Hill and 30 min train ride to airport for $3 each way. Nice walk downtown and to the harbour area..Seattle has a serious homeless and drug/mental illness issue, that shocked me and you can't escape it, but I had no problems.|Sonder is all managed by app and codes to get you into the building and your room. Nice small lounge for anyone to use. Free lockers for luggage storage. Room was modern and clean, large shower, small toilet. Nice TV but you need to log into apps, which I didn't like, rather just have free live TV, and 4 times it lost the signal, I had to call for assistance, but it resets if you unplug it. There are staff there to help, you use the app to talk to them, or phone them. Good wifi otherwise..its quite noisy and the walls are thin, so you can hear everything next door, and music footsteps. They supply ear plugs and a sound machine!! It was quiet at night though..side rooms have small window that looks into apartments next door..|The rooms are not serviced. If you want that it's $76! I do think that a long stay should have at least once a week change of towels and linen for free. You empty your own rubbish. There are cabinets on all floors with free coffee pods. Toilets rolls etc.|Neprsso coffee machine, only small cup fulls, and a good size fridge and air conditioner. Heating took a bit ot trial and error on the thermostat. No lifts, so lug your bags up the stairs if your high up. Had to stay extra two nights and had ti change room for that, the two nights cost $167. But my original 10 nights was £500 ish so was happy with that, booked through Expedia. Bed was comfortable. Room could do with a desk and chair and more wardrobe space, that's a rack on the wall. It's has kitchen units with sink. Second room TV was on side wall, sideways watching.|I'd stay again despite those negatives. I'm a 65 year old solo traveller from UK. Check your phone usage for USA, couldn't make calls when my flights were cancelled..that's not hotels fault. It's a place for younger people I think. But was fine for me..lots of interesting tourist things to...

Pros: Great customer service. We had an issue with our thermostat and fan and they responded immediately via the app. It is also one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. Super new. And no carpet in the room though there is a rug which I wish weren't there because those things attract germs and are impossible to clean. But overall cleanliness and customer service were exceptional. The app is also super easy to use and we liked the check in and out. It's unconventional but we liked having a code instead of a key. Water coffee mugs extra towels etc. are on each floor in a self serve cabinet. Additionally if you like being in a hip area it's in a great spot.

Cons: The room size. We felt it was just way too small even for a couple. The bathroom is basically in the room and you can see the other person shower. The toilet is also RIGHT there albeit, in it's own room. I think we just didn't realize just how small it was when we booked. Even being able to spread out our two suitcases was difficult because there is just no room. You have a small bit of space as you enter the room and that's it. It's really meant for very light travelers or single travelers. The second con is no elevator. We didn't notice the luggage lift sign and so we lugged our suitcase up to the top floor which was rough. We are on a longer vacation so we had a lot of stuff. It would be super helpful if the sign were larger. And finally the third con for us which might be a plus for others was that the location was just a little noisy and a little too close to downtown which has been overrun with drug addicts and homeless people. Again not the Sonder's fault - most people LOVE Pike/Pine and Capitol Hill but it just wasn't the spot for us and we would be more likely to stay uptown in the future.

So ultimately, would we stay at this particular Sonder again, no. But would we stay in another Sonder, yes. And we would recommend this hotel to solo travelers or young couples who are traveling light and want to be where all...

I would describe Sonder as a glorified Airbnb experience. It is suitable for work trips, single adults, and couples, but I wouldn't book these rooms for a family of 3 or if you don't want to climb stairs.

Pros: Great location right in the heart of Cap Hill, close to bars, restaurants, and groceries. However, it gets very loud on weekends. There is one person at the door to help you check in. She was very helpful and brought us extra bedding and sheets when requested. It's a hundred bucks cheaper than a typical hotel when we booked it. The rooms are clean and the building seems well-renovated. The bed was comfortable. There is heating and cold A/C (but A/C is very loud) There is a mini-fridge.

Cons: Check in and ID verification process was confusing. You won't be notified if your ID verification fails, and won't be able to access door codes upon check in as a result. Chat support on the app was clunky, and will restart if you lose data. Calling was unhelpful, the rep couldn't find my reservation because they used the wrong name. If I didn't give them a different name my issue would have taken forever to resolve. There was also loud singing in the background while we spoke - very unprofessional. Overall inefficient experience. The rooms are tiny (approx 150 sqft), and showers walls are made of see-through glass. Not suitable for an adult family. The fans in the washroom don't work. The building has 6 stories and no elevator - not accessible for people with disabilities, difficulty climbing stairs, or heavy luggage. No toothbrush, toothpaste, or microwave. There are no extra cots or beds, at least when we stayed. There are also no desks or chairs. There was a strong perfumey fragrance throughout the whole building, which may bother some. Impossible to park on the side street, so uber/lyft is...
