SpoonFull is a Thai food restaurant on Ballard Ave in the downtown/old Ballard area. Parking around here can be fine on most weekdays or awful on weekends. They have a large indoor area with 2 rooms that has probably 2 dozen tables and a few tables outside under an awning. Their menu is a good size, with prices being higher but because their portion sizes are bigger. The taste of their food is fantastic, with spice levels being on the higher end of the scale (think 2 stars as being about their halfway mark). The staff here are amazing, very friendly and helpful and always around getting you what you need. Overall it's a solid spot to eat with big portions and great service.

Edit: The owner replied saying this is not their fried rice, which is not true. I ordered on uber eats and picked up AT SPOONFULL within 5min of the dish being ready and ate 10 minutes afterwards. ****ORIGINAL REVIEW********* Worst fried rice ever. Feels more like risotto than fried rice. Except that it is bland and also basically soaked in oils. Honestly the worst fried rice I’ve ever had at any restaurant, worse than the microwaveable frozen fried rice I got at Costco. We ordered two different fried rice and they are both really soggy and overcooked.

I've been here three times now - Once for lunch and twice for dinner and the food and drinks are always amazing. The food really shines; it's one of my fav Thai places now. Drinks are also great, and they have bottomless mimosas on the weekend lunch/ brunch. Service has been fantastic all three times - never waiting, prompt refills, and super clear communication when I have questions on dishes. I personally love the crab delight and the prik king pork belly is phenomenal

I wish I took pictures because this food was beautiful and amazing! First of all the staff was so gracious and nice, very attentive, always coming to full our water and ask us how the food was. We got the crispy shrimp cakes, crab Rangoon, and tendon meatballs which were all great. For entrees we got chicken pad Thai and crispy cashew chicken both at spice level 2. Pad Thai was sweet and delicious, not too spicy. The cashew chicken was perfectly crispy and was a tad spicier than the pad Thai. For dessert I got the sticky rice and custard. I tried to order the mango sticky rice but since it’s not mango season they aren’t serving it which I thought was great. I’ve had under ripe out of season mangos from other places that just want your money and don’t care if it’s out of season. The custard and sticky rice turned out to...

The jury is still out on this place. I’ve been anxiously awaiting this opening for some fresh picks in Ballard. I ordered takeout on a busy Saturday after a long day of working on my feet and I was HUNGRY. I ordered the crab delight(10/10), the crispy chicken wings (1/10 thai crispy chicken wings are usually SOO GOOD, when done right, but these were not, would not recommend), and the PHAD KA NAH MOO KROB Stir-fried Chinese broccoli with crispy pork (5/10, the sauce was good, the pork was just okay). I’m gonna give this place another go, and report back. It wasn’t awful, but for these prices there is amazing around the block, just saying....
