Teriyaki First — Restaurant in Seattle

Is what it is. Recommend ordering 25 min prior to pick up. Delicious teriyaki. 1 block from my house. Great prices. The guy's a real dick, nickel and dime kinda place with extra sauce and sriracha. He always mumbles under his breath when I ask for the teriyaki bottle to put more on the chicken teriyaki. I like the sauce, otherwise it's too dry. He's thinking 'stupid american' and I'm thinking 'suck it, gramps'. He should just charge 25 cents more per dish. The lady (I'm assuming his wife) is SUPER NICE and personable. Delightful. The food is great but big issue with their containers!! Both times we have gone here, the plastic has melted on the bottom of the container and made a huge mess in the bag, our laps, and car! Plus it wastes part of the food. I wasn't going to post about it until it happened again today with the sweet and sour chicken. I'm glad the food is hot but they just need to get a different type of take out container that won't melt and have our food drip out everywhere. Otherwise this is a great teriyaki place. Food: big portions, quality taste! I was pretty satisfied with the meal. We got spicy chicken and the beef teriyaki. Beef was soft but I felt like there was a bigger portion of the chicken. Happy to get both again.

Service: expect to wait as there is usually a line for orders and the food is being made fresh. Highly highly recommend you call first then expect to wait ~15min give or take.

Atmosphere: community posters for events and old magazines to read while you wait. Lots of plants and kind of in an odd place next to a liquor store and gas station.
