My friends and I attended a drag show here to celebrate an anniversary and a few birthdays. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The show was outstanding, the queens were so much fun and our overall service was great (the male bartender downstairs who wore a hat, and the bartender with blue hair and yellow glasses were absolutely lovely). However, there was one server in particular–I believe her name was Carol or Caroline; she was wearing a yellow shirt and had dark hair–who acted incredibly rude to my group. We were nothing but polite to the servers and did not have problems with anyone else, but she was immediately rude to us as soon as we entered the bar. When my friends went up to the bar to order, she was incredibly dismissive and unhelpful. She did not answer their questions and acted as if they were either too young or immature to be at the bar, even though we had every right to be there. When another friend and I went up to the bar, she completely ignored us even though the other bartender was serving someone else and she was not doing anything. When she brought out our food, she was acted sarcastic to my friend who pointed her in the direction of our table after SHE asked where we were sitting; and again when she came around to collect empty cups and asked if we were done. One of our friends had left the table, so another said they were not sure if that friend was done with their drink. This server responded very rudely by saying "Well, it looks empty to me" and took the glass. She was very sarcastic, dismissive and did not seem to enjoy her job–strange, because the overall energy was very loving and joyful. Really enjoyed our time at The Unicorn but this bartender needs to reconsider her choice...
Read morei'm usually a big fan of unicorn. in terms of theme and decoration they're one of the best in seattle. however their service was lacking this pride weekend. i went with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed the drag shows, karaoke, and dj. but the staff was quite rude to us. we ordered 5 piece chicken strips with fries and were given a buzzer but it never went off. we checked in at the food booth 40 minutes later and saw a basket that we think was ours because it was also a 5 piece chicken strip with fries. we asked the guy at the booth and he was like "guys if your buzzer hasn't gone off your order ISN'T ready" we just figured the kitchen was backed up and went back to partying. waited 40 more minutes and went to the bartender we ordered from to ask for a refund because our buzzer still didn't buzz and we never got our food. we told her our buzzer was number 17 and she said rudely "that doesn't help me what did you order? corn dogs or what come on" we told her and turns out that food from 40 minutes ago was actually ours and that they already threw it out. but our buzzer never went off and we were told directly it wasn't ours. about 15 minutes later we finally got our food but we never got an apology or refund for waiting almost 2 hours for 5 chicken strips and fries. i work in food service so i understand mistakes happen and the staff was probably overwhelmed with how busy that weekend was but it did put a damper on our night that we went hungry for 2 hours and weren't able to order as many drinks as we wanted to because we didn't...

I went sober at the beginning of the year. I was in the area tonight passing by and was craving a corn dog. I’d been out in similar establishments a few times easily able to abstain, but I walked in tonight, got to the counter, and it was too much. I quickly placed my order and asked for it To Go so that I didn’t mess up on what I’ve been working so hard for. I walked away, turned around, and went back to ask for a Shirley Temple. The server was wearing a baseball cap, and she was SO kind. I clarified that I wanted a drink without alcohol, and she just smiled at me, winked, and said, “I gotcha, Babe. You’re totally good. You don’t even worry.” She was so reassuring while inwardly, I was a panicked mess. I tried to pay, and she refused to charge me for the Shirley Temple, I’d already paid for my food, so I went back to my table, drank my soda, and quickly went to grab my food once my buzzer went off. As I was leaving, I stopped her, told her that I’m newly into recovery and that she doesn’t know how much she helped me tonight, and I left. She had a look of absolute… Just… Light. There is no way to describe it aside from light, all over her face as I told her.
She had darker hair that was up in a greenish/kinda gray baseball hat. To be honest, I don’t remember what she was wearing. Ya’ll need to give her a raise. She stopped me from making a big mistake tonight simply by being kind… For that, I cannot that you and...
