Being from the East Coast, finding good pizza in the Seattle Area has been a struggle. I had cheese, and my son had pepperoni. The slices were larger than I expected, but I wouldn't call it massive, I've grown accustomed to smaller slices out here. The crust had a good bite to it. The cheese and sauce combo was above average. My kid destroyed his slice of pepperoni he's a toddler and usually doesn't eat much. I took a bite of his to try to pepperoni. It had the old world preservative free sausage flavor, which, unfortunately for me, I'm not a huge fan of, and I know I am wrong for that opinion. The walls had some artwork on them pretty generic, but a wall was dedicated to awards from local, regional, and national magazines and competitions.
I will say without knowing beforehand that this was initially a "food truck." I have had the on the road wood fired pizzas at farmers markets from them. I didn't realize until I saw the truck last week. Getting Veraci fresh off the truck that maybe them "famous" was possibly one of the best pizzas I've had in the area. So I'm a little disappointed in the reheated slices I got at the Ballard location.
The service was great. We were the only ones in there, and they took care of us well and were helpful.
Parking extremely limited.
Overall, I'd say make sure you get the pizza fresh and not a reheated slice. I'm rarely in that part of town. I wouldn't be against going again but will look to try other options nearby first to see if...
Read moreI was SO thrilled that Veraci offered gluten free pizza AND non-dairy cheese - and it was tasty. The issue was that when I ordered it I specifically asked whether this particular pizza had mozzarella or JUST cheve (goat cheese) and they confirmed it only has cheve. So my husband drives a ways to pick it up and bring it home. Nope, other cheese on it. Maybe this sounds trivial to someone who doesn’t have food allergies but it’s a pretty important distinction. Then I called to ask and they assured me over and over again that the only cheese was cheve, even after I let them know it was a cows milk allergy. I was so confused because it was clearly not the case. So I drove there and showed them. Now they matter of factly told me oh yes it has a three cheese blend in addition to the cheve, as is standard. They made another while I waited then drove back home. Over an hour of time to correct. Just a few notes: Thank you for making delicious gluten free, dairy free pizza! If you offer these options, it’s important that staff are trained on how to handle customers with allergies. This is a real safety issue. It’s just good customer service that if your staff so clearly f up that you comp the item as gesture that you recognize the inconvenience it caused and hope to earn their...
Read moreWell I really hate to say it but we didn't have the greatest experience here. We were close by for my kids soccer practice and we were craving pizza so, looked good. To start with the website to order was unbelievably slow. Took about 10 minutes to put an order in but I think it's a doordash things so I don't put the blame on the pizza company. It did take over an hour though with no updates in the tracker on the progress.
We ordered a chicken pesto pizza and unfortunately it just wasn't that great. The toppings were nice enough but the crust and bread itself, I think ours was just under baked. There was no color to the bread and it was very chewy and stretchy etc. Also one of our slices had some random Ham on it so looks like they started to make the pizza incorrectly and then started to switch. No big deal to us but for somebody who doesn't eat pork, that's a very big deal. If that had been beefed swapped in there without us knowing, my wife would have been so upset. Should have just removed it.
So unfortunately it just wasn't a good experience for us and with so many other pizza places, we'll likely try somewhere...
