One of the guys behind the bar was extremely rude towards the end of the night. Our group was having a chill time, celebrating our friend's who are expecting baby in June. I didn't catch the guys name but he told me that I had to tell the folks around me that it was last call. I asked him if he was serious and he said I needed to go tell people right now. Thinking he was either ridiculous and super bossy, I disregarded it and closed out my tab. The people around me weren't even apart of the group I was with. I don't know if he was confused thinking I was his co-worker, but he shouldn't be telling customers or co-workers what to do in the tone he used. Sorry guy, I'm not your coworker and I don't know where you learned that it's ok to tell people what to do or say. It was a weird and rude way to end the night. Too bad that place has been open for only a few weeks
Trailbend is not on my priority list of places to visit again. He definitely adds to the "white snobby Ballard bro" stereotype of the...
Read moreWe do everything possible to support our neighborhood businesses. Trailbend’s food product offering is fantastic. However, it is impossible to be a customer when every time we call, we are told the kitchen is closed. Two weeks ago, I called to place an order at 7:25 and was told the kitchen was closed. This past Sunday, I called at 6:50 for a takeout order and was told the kitchen was already closed - that is more than an hour before what is posted on the website and on Google. We went to a competitor up the street who had a line of 8 customers waiting for orders just before the posted closing time at 8pm.
Being in the hospitality industry myself, I know how difficult this past year has been. However, we are now at a point where businesses should be able to determine what hours are going to work for their operation and properly set expectations for their customers. Until Trailbend can be transparent with their actual business hours, we will not...
Read moreThis would have been a 5 star rating, but the appetizers were a miss. We got the Pickled Veggies and Garlic Boat to start. The Pickled veggies were served in a cast iron container and any cook who has a little knowledge knows that you don’t put something acid in cast iron, unless you want it to taste like iron. Sure enough, any veggies that were in contact with the iron tasted bad. The Garlic Boat looked great and tasted good, but the center was room temperature. We asked the waitress if it was supposed to be cool and she said no, but they put it in a cool cast iron service boat to serve and maybe that dropped the temperature. Ah, no. It was the center that needed to be 60 degrees warmer, not the edge. Anyway, the Meatball sandwiches were good as were the Barley Quinoa salad and Southwest Chicken Bowl. Loved the cider selections and the service was very good. We will go again, but we will definitely be skipping...
