Pros: food was absolutely fantastic 😋 the restaurant was very clean and atmosphere was attractive. We sat by the window which gave us a wonderful view of the plants that are outside. Definitely would recommend. Cons: a little bit pricey but worth it. Waited at the door for 10 minutes, another couple pointed out the waiter was on his phone. Then I stood at the cash register for a few minutes waiting in front of him on his phone. I decided to not speak up to see how long it would take. Was pleasant experience other than the wait which to be honest I could have spoke up in the beginning and more than likely gotten seated quickly. Would highly recommend and would go back again. The food was very flavorful and salad was awesome. Great vegan dishes and appetizers.

what a perfect meal for a colder/rainy day. ordered the lunch special: Goat curry, comes with rice and lentil soup. we had the choice of mild and spicy. We opt for spicy, but it was still pretty mild. Turns out we should asked for Nepalese spicy if I want some serious heat! Thank you for the suggestion Ruth! The garlic naan, soooo fluffy. They are perfectly delicious on its own but definitely a game changer to pair it with the curry! Had the Lamb Tandoori, just like other dishes, chef's kiss. It was tender and full of flavor. yummmm. there are other drinks on the menu, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. but i think mango lassi is THE drink to get! you wont regret it. I didn't even i am lactose intolerant. service was great! And we are coming back for sure.

We ate here on recommendation, we are visiting from Chicago. To say this meal was phenomenal feels like an understatement. Post-covid restaurant experiences have been disappointing and this reminded me of why going out to eat is so enriching and valuable. The food that was brought to our table had the depth of home cooking with the polish of dining out. The flavors were exquisite and rich, the menu was easy to digest and select from, and the staff was a true pleasure to interact with. If we lived here, we would surely be regulars. I'm still digesting and have already dreaded how much I'll crave this meal. We had both garlic cilantro as well as garlic cheese naan (get both), lamb Tikka masala (my god), and the chicken tandoori. The mango lassi is a must.

I was excited to try this place. Three of us went here for my birthday dinner. Unfortunately it was mediocre. We ordered the following: Veggie samosa Veggie pakora Tandoori vegetables Tandoori lamb Tandoori salmon Palak paneer Garlic naan

Of the appetisers, the pakora were far better than the samosa. The samosa were very greasy and lacked seasoning. The tandoori vegetables were plentiful, but again bland. I don’t eat meat so I didn’t taste the other 2 dishes, but was told the larger pieces of lamb were OK, but the smaller pieces were very dry. The other person enjoyed their salmon. All 3 dishes also came with a generous serving of rice which was odd in my experience as usually you select whether you want rice OR naan. The palak paneer was the best of the dishes and the naan were very good. Overall, everything was just a bit on the bland side and missing the signature flavours of Indian cuisine.

The service was also only OK. We were seated quickly but it was 5-10 minutes before we received menus and then we were only given a couple minutes before someone came to take our order. We had to request more time. The dishes from the appetisers were not cleared before the main course so we evens up having to clear the dishes and set them aside ourselves while they were placing the main courses on the table then request they take the other plates away.

While we planned to share the dishes and all selected dishes we enjoy, it would’ve helpful for the wait staff to suggest at least 1 curry because everything was also dry since no accompaniments were provided. We also had to request knives because none were provided and I don’t know how you’re supposed to eat a quarter of an eggplant or large pieces of meat with a fork and spoon. One small set of tongs were provided with the vegetarian dish, but no additional utensils were provided for serving the other dishes.

In terms of COVID safety and protocols, there is seating outdoors, some covered, but there’s no source of heat. We would’ve preferred to eat outdoors but it was too chilly. A couple who was outdoors ended up moving in. Most of the staff wore masks but the owner (?) did not and I’d be surprised if the ventilation indoors was adequate.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend eating here due to the overall underwhelming food...

One of our favorite restaurants in Sebastopol. Consistently tasty food. The daal (lentil soup, complimentary when eating in) is so smooth and savory, even a friend who dislikes lentils enjoyed it; it is also vegan and gluten free. We are hooked on the chicken tikka masala, chana masala (chickpeas), and all the dishes with paneer. You can choose how mild or spicy you want the entrees. You can see the spice pods in the sauces which add to the chickapow flavors. All of the naan is great; the cilantro one was surprising and the butter naan is our favorite. They offer both brown and white rice. The owner and family are so welcoming while also being quick and never intrusive. It's nice to have a sit down place without picnic benches, although it's also not fancy. Right outside is a vibrant, diverse garden (try to guess what is growing on the tree!). We have also had pick up orders that were no different in quality. I pretty much never write reviews, but I want others to try this place so that it...

This place has been a long time favorite until now. This was the best curry in the area however they must have recently changed their recipes. Their chicken tikka masala was a comfort food that I would get often, I went there in January or February and it was still delicious. We first noticed things were different when we saw the serving sizes of the curry was smaller than it used to be, yet more expensive. Even the naan used to come with 4 pieces an order but now only came with two pieces, even though it is also more expensive than before. The quality and quantity used to be worth the prices, so an increase is understandable over time. But increases in price while decreasing the quantity and quality of the food doesn’t make sense. It’s also extremely disappointing, this was literally one of my favorite restaurants. But I couldn’t even finish the curry it wasn’t like it had been literally a few months ago. Sad to see another...
