đŽđ⨠Review of Papas and Pollo â¨đđŽ
Listen⌠if you havenât been to Papas and Pollo, then honestly, what are you even doing with your life? This place isnât just a restaurantâitâs like stepping through a magical tortilla portal straight into a tiny Mexican beach village where the margaritas are colder than your exâs heart and the burritos are bigger than your hopes and dreams.
First off, the back patio⌠oh my sweet guacamole. Close your eyes (after youâve taken your food selfie, obviously) and youâll swear youâre sitting in a seaside plaza in Baja, listening to waves crash and waiting for a mariachi band to roll through. In reality, itâs just Sebastopol , but donât tell my imagination that. đ´đ
The burrito selection? WILD. Itâs like they had a board meeting where someone said, âWhat if we made every burrito combo possible in the known universe?â And then they did. Chicken, steak, veggie, shrimp, probably unicorn if you ask nicely. Youâll leave stuffed, happy, and slightly confused at how many burritos you just inhaled.
Also, this place is family-friendly and dog-friendlyâso bring your kids, your dog, your neighborâs dog, your cousinâs weird dog named âCarl,â whatever. Everyoneâs welcome. Your pup gets to vibe under the table while you demolish a burrito the size of a toddler.
In conclusion: Papas and Pollo isnât just dinner, itâs a mini vacation without the TSA lines. 10/10 would...
Read moreThis is a great eatery. I love this place for itâs seating. I appreciate everything they do regarding livable wages and safety precautions. They also serve a great salad. Their tofu is a great option as well.
The food itself isnât out of this world. A bit dry (black beans) so make sure to ask for extra salsa. There are taquerias nearby so if Iâm doing takeout Iâd rather just do those. If itâs dining in Iâd come here for the service and scenery and variety of choices for every friendâs diet.
Iâm giving a low rating on the fact that the takeout here isnât great, and my latest experience wasnât great. I didnât even get a lime slice with my taco! Limes with tacos are pretty necessary. The lack of some lime is basically a dealbreaker for me despite all of the positives of this restaurant. If I had known I would have gotten take out tacos at a place that does provide some lime.
Recommendations: Not a fan of the potatoes here. Iâd get the yams, avocado, the meats, and seafood. I think their pork is my favorite and quite special. The rice is good. Iâve had their burritos, tacos, nachos, salads. This place is pricey but that is because this is very much a dine-in restaurant; their menu just isnât tailored well...
Read moreThis place is lacking seasoning. Almost every menu item is chicken and there are three burritos on the menu with different names same ingredients. They charge $3 for a basket of chips...really? The salsa bar is a disappointment with one green salsa and one red. How these have no flavor is a mystery. Kids nachos? Cheese and avocado....Melted cheese and 1 small sliver of avocado. They would charge you for water if they could. There is no hospitality here either. Everyone looks miserable. Creamy cilantro sauce seems to be on everything. There is zero creativity at this place. I will never eat here again. So many other Mexican restaurants in town dont waste ypur money here. Seb-mex is not a thing. Thats what they call their mix of Mexican food and weird hollowed out potatoes. Its a joke. I only gave one star so i could write...
