🌮🐓✨ Review of Papas and Pollo ✨🐓🌮

Listen… if you haven’t been to Papas and Pollo, then honestly, what are you even doing with your life? This place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s like stepping through a magical tortilla portal straight into a tiny Mexican beach village where the margaritas are colder than your ex’s heart and the burritos are bigger than your hopes and dreams.

First off, the back patio… oh my sweet guacamole. Close your eyes (after you’ve taken your food selfie, obviously) and you’ll swear you’re sitting in a seaside plaza in Baja, listening to waves crash and waiting for a mariachi band to roll through. In reality, it’s just Sebastopol , but don’t tell my imagination that. 🌴🌊

The burrito selection? WILD. It’s like they had a board meeting where someone said, “What if we made every burrito combo possible in the known universe?” And then they did. Chicken, steak, veggie, shrimp, probably unicorn if you ask nicely. You’ll leave stuffed, happy, and slightly confused at how many burritos you just inhaled.

Also, this place is family-friendly and dog-friendly—so bring your kids, your dog, your neighbor’s dog, your cousin’s weird dog named “Carl,” whatever. Everyone’s welcome. Your pup gets to vibe under the table while you demolish a burrito the size of a toddler.

In conclusion: Papas and Pollo isn’t just dinner, it’s a mini vacation without the TSA lines. 10/10 would...

This is a great eatery. I love this place for it’s seating. I appreciate everything they do regarding livable wages and safety precautions. They also serve a great salad. Their tofu is a great option as well.

The food itself isn’t out of this world. A bit dry (black beans) so make sure to ask for extra salsa. There are taquerias nearby so if I’m doing takeout I’d rather just do those. If it’s dining in I’d come here for the service and scenery and variety of choices for every friend’s diet.

I’m giving a low rating on the fact that the takeout here isn’t great, and my latest experience wasn’t great. I didn’t even get a lime slice with my taco! Limes with tacos are pretty necessary. The lack of some lime is basically a dealbreaker for me despite all of the positives of this restaurant. If I had known I would have gotten take out tacos at a place that does provide some lime.

Recommendations: Not a fan of the potatoes here. I’d get the yams, avocado, the meats, and seafood. I think their pork is my favorite and quite special. The rice is good. I’ve had their burritos, tacos, nachos, salads. This place is pricey but that is because this is very much a dine-in restaurant; their menu just isn’t tailored well...

This place is lacking seasoning. Almost every menu item is chicken and there are three burritos on the menu with different names same ingredients. They charge $3 for a basket of chips...really? The salsa bar is a disappointment with one green salsa and one red. How these have no flavor is a mystery. Kids nachos? Cheese and avocado....Melted cheese and 1 small sliver of avocado. They would charge you for water if they could. There is no hospitality here either. Everyone looks miserable. Creamy cilantro sauce seems to be on everything. There is zero creativity at this place. I will never eat here again. So many other Mexican restaurants in town dont waste ypur money here. Seb-mex is not a thing. Thats what they call their mix of Mexican food and weird hollowed out potatoes. Its a joke. I only gave one star so i could write...

We ate often at Papa's and Pollo. The Burritos were very delicious and not the normal Beans and Cheese Burritos served by many other Burittto Mill's. They had great Vegan and Vegetarian options Unfortunately lately the portions are getting smaller and smaller and they charge for pretty much everything extra now. Even for the salad dressing they charge 75 cents. This is like a burger place would charge for ketchup. Their chips are unbelievable 3$ which are included in all other Mexican restaurant. And of course if u want to replace one thing in ur burrito with another equally priced item they will charge for that as well and not reimburse u with the stuff left out. I think there is room for improvement but overall a good place

I loved the decor and set up of the restaurant. It has a beach bungalow feel and is very laid back. I had the Papa Doo-Run-Run burrito and had the dairy taken out to make it vegan. It was super tasty and I think I got complimentary avocado in it since I removed the dairy. We also got a basket of chips to share and their homemade chips are amazing!
