I had an absolutely awful experience at Viet House. The bar was empty, with only a handful of people present, yet one server decided it was necessary to ask me to move from a perfectly comfortable bar seat to a cramped, awkward spot surrounded by a mess of crowded cans. The request was completely unnecessary and made no sense whatsoever.
Instead of creating a welcoming environment, the server’s behavior came across as dismissive and rude, showing a total lack of respect for paying customers. This is not how you treat people who choose to spend their time and money at your establishment.
With so few people in the restaurant and her concern over take-out orders, there was no valid reason for this bizarre request other than sheer laziness or poor customer service training. I left feeling unwelcome and thoroughly unimpressed. There are plenty of other places to go for good drinks and a pleasant atmosphere—I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Avoid Viet House if you value common courtesy or basic...
Read moreThe service is fast and courteous. The menu offers a wide range of traditional choices. From Pho to rice and noodles plates, it's always fresh and tasty. I always get the friedgyoza with a citrus mayo. It's a great way to kick off the experience. My other favorite is the shaking beef with extra filet mignon. It's a simple dish of stir fried vegetable with tender chunks of filet mignon in a light sauce. I add some rice and chili sauce for a great meal. It's a little pricey but after all it is filet mignon not wrapped in bacon. The decor is a twist of modern with some minimalism sprinkled through out. Reds and yellows predominate with a large black and white painting on one wall with another large piece made of colored layerd grains behind glass on another.. I highly recommend if you like...
Read moreThis place used to be ok, but after today, I will never go back. 18$ plus tax and tip for 1 item vermicelli bowl which literally only consisted of BBQ chicken, rice noodle, almost impossible to chew shredded lettuce, and a few pieces of grated carrot. I cant even order their soup because its so salty it makes me sick everytime ive tried to eat it. The service was not good and the food was mediocre at best. It says right in the front of the menu that gluten free is available but when i asked for my meal to be gf, they said the bbq chicken isnt gf anymore. They raised their rates significantly and lowered their quality. Not a good way to keep customers. They only stay in business because there are so few restaurants...
