Don't let the odd name fool you. This place offers stellar gourmet pizza that is bursting with flavor and textures. It definitely tastes like California cuisine and isn't your typical pizza flavors or format.
Even though a typical pie is round, the pizza slices here are rectangular and served by weight, which is kind of hard to grasp; But after your first visit and an explanation by the server, you will easily be comfortable ordering next time. You can mix and match pizzas to have a couple of different varieties on your plate.
The staff is unbelievably welcoming and cheerful. The restaurant is small, but cozy and feels inviting. When I went there for dinner on a weeknight, there was a line of about 3 people in front of me and the line went quickly, but the place was well-attended for sure.
It seems they put up varying different pizzas to choose slices from. When I was there, two were vegetarian and one was meat. (I'm a vegetarian). The flavors and textures are so robust, that even the biggest carnivore would not miss the meat on one of the vegetarian pizzas. The pizzas feel very satiating. Overall, it is a fantastic gourmet pizza experience that...

SO I logically presumed it would be OPEN. The time was 8:18pm. The woman was entertaining a patron seated at the table and she sighed when I pointed out that if she was closed, shouldn't the door be closed and the sign off? Clearly annoyed with me she begrudgingly said she would get me an order. At that point I was DONE and proceeded to leave. On my way out I did say, "Should I shut the door and make it obvious they were closed?" She shook her head and looked at the patron who was still there 5 minutes later as I wrote this. I'm over it. Close your door and turn off the sign if you are CLOSED. I don't care to get a response since everyone will see a disgruntled woman in me and nothing more. Because woman =...
Read moreA welcoming place, people eating and laughing, but not too busy. We walked inside and was welcomed by a happy, friendly girl. They had a clean restaurant and restroom. It's great that you can order however much you'd like, because they sell the slices by weight, just tell them how hungry you are! Everything was great here, but what I appreciated most was the extra ordinary service, and how the owner, Nicolai was working just as hard as his staff. He was so generous and accommodating to serve a custom bagel for a 3 year old we were with. They also saw that we had a baby, and immediately offered a high chair! We wanted a group picture after we were finished, and the owner kindly and thoughtfully took a few great group photos of our large group. I appreciated this place a lot, and might be the best pizza experience...
