I highly suggest; if you’re going to reinforce bags behind the counter make it non discriminatory? Was asked to put my bag behind the counter as soon as I walked in, after shopping there for a while, and Not once did I hear or see the nerdy guy ask anyone else to leave their bag behind the counter. Mind you the other customers were all white people/old farts! Please make it a be rational and inclusive to all when you enforce such rules.
