During my recent visit to the United States, I frequented Wendy's on numerous occasions. However, I must express my profound disappointment concerning the conduct of the managerial staff. On the final day of my stay, my sister and I utilized the self-service kiosk to place an order. Despite the successful processing and prompt debit of the payment transaction from my account, we did not receive a receipt or an order number.
Upon approaching the managers to address this issue, we encountered an astonishing level of rudeness and a lack of comprehension. Their demeanor suggested suspicion, almost insinuating that we were attempting to deceive them. They informed us that the transaction was pending and assured us that we would receive our money back within a few days from our bank. However, it has been a week, and we have yet to receive the refund. Despite our insistence that the money had already been transferred and that there would be no cancellation since it was paid, the managers remained unyielding.
Despite engaging in a discussion for approximately 15-20 minutes, the resolution provided was minimal. We were reluctantly handed a single cup and fries, and there was a conspicuous absence of even basic courtesies such as a farewell or acknowledgment of our concerns.
Such an experience was deeply disheartening and tarnished the otherwise enjoyable aspects of my visit. As a customer, I expect a certain level of professionalism and courtesy from the staff, especially those in managerial positions. When it came time to take my order the lady completely didn’t acknowledge me and asked the man behind me what he wanted. Mind you , we both made eye contact, and I’m wearing a bright orange jacket, so she knows I was there …. She still proceeded taking the man’s order after I told her “you skipped me, I was here first” . I only get 30 min lunch brake. Super inconvenience for something like this to happen especially with only 30 min. (Literally every min counts for my situation). It seems like every employee I have ever interacted with at this location all hate their lives. Super rude and all act as if I inconvenienced them by coming. Each and EVERY one at the window for drive through that I have interacted with have closed the window as I’m speaking to them. They act as if me asking for sauce or a straw is the end of the world. Like my apologies I should have said it multiple times when ordering and paying that I needed sauce because the two times I did was not enough. Also my god how horrible of me to request a straw, I will take the lid off and drink without a straw next time to not force you into giving me one. Like what.
