The Waverton — Local services in Secaucus

I wish there was something lower than 1 star. It’s immediately clear just how cheap the material used in the finishing of the apartments are - counter top stains super quick, floor panels incredibly uneven, etc. All of that i can easily overlook since its a rental, but what is unacceptable is the banging noise coming out of the wall every 20 seconds almost constantly throughout the day and night. We called maintenance and were told that this is due to some pipe issue but that there would be no way to know for sure or fix without breaking the wall, which they weren’t going to do since there is no leak and the noise is not as loud as it can get. Nothing against the maintenance guy, he was very sweet and genuinely doing his best. But the noise has gotten to a point where it wakes us up at night and keeps us up. I’m extremely disappointed in this building as a choice. I don’t know which apartments this issue affects but it’s ultimately not something we could’ve picked up on in our tour and there’s no mention of it anywhere in the reviews, thus I’m posting here as I figured this may help someone else.

The cherry on top of the Sunday that is this building is the recent discovery of multiple Silverfish insects in our apartment over the course of a couple of weeks. We called maintenance who admittedly called in an exterminator - however we did find another bug after that still. We were also told that other apartments have complained of the same bug (i.e. infestation) which is outrageous for a building this new. So it looks like Winter months = banging noises and Summer months = bugs! This takes me back full circle to just how cheap this building is and certainly doesn’t match the high rates they...

We have been living in the Waterton more than 15 months and we love living here. We have one of the water facing 2 br 2 bath units. Our experience from the get go with Noah and Araina has been very professional. They know all their residents by their name. When we signed up, they not only were very accommodating but also went to great lengths to answer all of our questions. Noah even researched and recommended list of daycare centers in the area for our little one. Since then all our interactions with the property manager Araina has been very cordial and met all our expectations. Few highlights that come to mind: Daily cleaning of the property, hallways, other common areas and general upkeep and Maintenance is world class Expansive Gym overlooks at the front patio common area and the river that has the resort feel Kids playroom: Me and my son visited several times and especially during cold winter days it is a life saver with well thought out toys and a cable TV with several kids channel networks to chose from Outdoor and indoor entertainment areas: we absolutely love how well thought and decoratively eye pleasing these areas are Bus stop to nj transit in front of the property makes commuting to nyc a breeze Overall, I would rate our experience very high with...

First of all the staff are super friendly, the lady who does cleaning works very hard every day to keep the building very clean. They organize many events. The gym is great.

But with regard to the building itself it seems to be built with budget friendly materials and I doubt it will stay in shape in the long run. The building has two elevators and either one from time to time has some trouble and not usable. I was once stuck inside elevator and had to call 911 to get me out. And I was not the only person who got stuck inside the elevator and I saw one day a lady got stuck in the other elevator different from the one I was stuck in. They denied my request to send an email to all residents in the building on this elevator accident to make them aware. By the time we moved out, one elevator had an inspection failure notice on it. And they were never transparent on what is actually going on with the elevators, and don’t seem to have a plan to replace them. Instead they only send out emails like do not use this elevator or...
