Sellersburg isn't really supporting this place and I felt pretty angry and sad that they aren't getting a fair chance to thrive.
So, today I went and the order taking went smoothly. Kind and patient. But then at the window, she was incredibly dismissive, bored looking and my opinion, rude. I paid with a card and while waiting (not having cash, for tip and the card reader didn't prompt me to tip- I searched for as much quarters, dimes and nickles totalling 5 bucks.)
When I let her know I didn't have more than 2 dollars in cash and have the rest in change, she just ignored me. Wouldn't take it. She shut the door and took the other order.
Confused, I laid the container I had for her on the metal table, waited for her to take it but she didn't look back or acknowledge. So after a couple minutes thinking about it- I took my change back.
I realize reacting to the tip isn't part of customer service but you'd think it would be at least appreciated or a smile at the least, to receive anything. Being a first time customer, I start with an average tip but then after that, my tip matches my cost of what I bought. Example if I have an $8.50 charge, I give $8.50 or even a 10 if they are kind. My total was $20 and had she been appreciative, I would of went to an atm and came back with a better tip. I believe people are not tipping what servers and baristas deserve. I like to toss in enough to cover a couple tips for the customers the do not tip or tip a dollar or two. But I can't do that to a business that does not care about their customer's effort to give a tip. I searched my entire car to show my appreciation to them... but I got ignored and a door shut in my face. Back to Starlight coffee I guess.
Ps... I recommend the summer skies Boba with lemonade...

I have been To the Sellersburg Starbucks 4 to 5 times in the hopes that, by continuing to give them a chance, (because Iām aware they are new and the employees are still learning) .. that my experience will get better. But unfortunately, My order is wrong every. single. time, I go there. It never fails for me to have to go in and ask them to remake it. (I honestly hate doing that. I am very nice, respectful and apologetic when asking them to remake it.. my drink is $10 when I Get Starbucks.. So at that cost, Iām sorry, but i have to enjoy what Iām drinking..) I can understand by being one of those customers that likes their drink A certain way it can be annoying for the baristas .. so I am bound to get it made wrong at some point .. but every single time ? No⦠I have learned in life that There is other locations, that will make it right the first time, next time, & last time. My mom has come to find the same issue with Sellersburg .. so we take the extra few mile drive to go to Charlestown, which is the location we were already going to.
Lately when people are starting a new job, (this is in general) they are not provided the proper amount of training. Theyāre lucky if they get three days of training, then are expected to memorize everything and perform adequately.. The baristaās at this location are very kind. Trust me. I would continue to go there if my order was made right but Iām sorry it just never is and I hate being put in the position to ask them to remake it every time I go there. (I order the same exact drink I donāt get...
