The WORST Al pastor tacos I've ever tasted in my entire life! Absolutely Inedible. Tasted like plastic!
Carnitas seemed ok until my wife was puking her guts out 30 minutes later.
Extremely overpriced food. 14 for 3 tacos?? What is that like $5 per taco? An average taco truck is a million times better and way cheaper.
I ordered a shredded beef burrito (which was disgusting by the way) with no cheese/queso. The waitress repeated back to me "ok a shredded beef burrito with no cheese". What do they bring me? A burrito with no queso INSIDE it but cheese/queso ALL OVER IT! No means no! Who would order a burrito with no cheese inside it but cheese poured all over it???!
Waitress was absolutely horrible as well. She stopped at our table 2 times! Didn't come to collect our payment and also didn't convey to us that we need to pay up front. So we sat there waiting and trying to flag down our waitress that was flirting with some other staff member at the front register instead of attending to her table.
There's a McDonald's, Wendy's and other fast food places on this same street. Do yourself a favor and pick ANY of them instead...
Read moreThis used to be the best El Nopal around and best Mexican restaurant. That has went way downhill with food and service. Went in last week around 1pm, only had a few customers dining in. I called in a Togo order. Walked in and the girl working the counter was sitting in a booth cleaning menus, which is nice but I wasn’t greeted at all, she continued to clean menus before she decided to come over to the register. She was pretty rude, not friendly at all and you could tell she didn’t want to be there. I ordered what I normally order, the dinner burrito Al carbon, chicken with no beans extra rice. I should have checked before I left and got back home(on a 30 min lunch break) and once again the order was wrong. They didn’t do no beans extra rice, instead it was just full of beans. The burrito was hard also. We did get a large queso and dip, which was also bad, the entire center of the dip was one solid chunk and COLD. Tried reheating to warm it up but it didn’t help. Threw 3/4 of it away. Get carry out here with caution, I’m done with them. I’ll drive to Jeffersonville and get El Mexicano, way way better food...
Read moreDuring my road trip through Indiana, I discovered El Napal, a deviation from the usual chain dining options. Choosing authenticity over familiarity, this Mexican restaurant turned out to be a solid choice. The dining experience commenced with satisfactory chips, and while the salsa lacked a bit in flavor, it served its purpose.
The culinary highlight was an above-average burrito, showcasing the chef's proficiency. The blend of ingredients reflected a commitment to quality and taste. The service met the standard, being prompt and attentive, and the clean and welcoming atmosphere contributed to a pleasant dining setting.
El Napal's appeal extended to its moderate crowd, creating a relaxed environment. The efficient delivery of hot and freshly prepared food added to the overall positive impression. In summary, El Napal emerges as a noteworthy stop on my road trip, providing a genuine taste of Mexican cuisine with commendable service and a welcoming ambiance. I recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a reliable and satisfying dining...
