We visit Sequim every year. We were told this place was amazing before the new ownership, however we were sadly disappointed with this meal and should have sent it back, but we just don't do that. They clearly have many things to figure out. The waitress did not know the menu very well. She took our order and then came back to tell me the special was written wrong and did not include a salad, so I said that's fine, no salad. Food took a long time to arrive. Entree special of open faced prime rib was beyond irregular. It arrived cold as a thick slice of low grade, overcooked, unseasoned prime rib on a single slice of sourdogh toast with lukewarm, unseasoned steak fries and cold, flavorless au jus. A salad was brought out after the entrees, as apparently it WAS included. The best part of the meal was the ranch dressing and steak fries with a little salt. No one checked on our satisfaction with the meal. The price shound have been our first clue of subpar quality. It can be much improved with a little seasoning and being served hot. An open faced sandwhich is usually thinly sliced meat with gravy or sauce of some kind. What was served should have maybe been featured as prime rib with sourdough toast on the side and fries. We always try to support local over restaurant chains, and we wish these folks the best as they get things...
Read moreSequim needs a decent steakhouse, and I'm still hoping that someday we get one. This wasn't a bad experience, just solely sub-par. Low-quality ingredients which were poorly cooked and very little else to redeem the experience or mid-range prices.
We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday night. As others have mentioned the interior is very-outdated, but I can look past that and even appreciate the charm of soviet-style decor if the food is good. Spoiler: the food is awful.
It took us an hour to receive our plates. My $30 filet which I ordered medium-well was served very rare, bloody. My boyfriend's ribeye was ordered medium-rare and served well-done. They do NOT use high-quality ingredients. The vegetables and bread basket were both undercooked. The only decent thing that landed at our table was my boyfriend's baked potato. We didn't send anything back because we'd waited an hour for our food and we just wanted to go home.
It's also worth noting that my boyfriend and I are both heavily-tattooed people and I believe we were treated poorly by the staff because of our appearances and age. We're polite and were both well-dressed in conservative, appropriate clothing... but it's like a judgemental country...
Read moreAs a Para Transit Driver that regularly drives in Sequim I have always noticed that the place is very popular with the locals so I have been wanting to take my Wife and Daughter here for quite some time to check it out. When coming through the door we were seated rather quickly but since the seating booths seemed rather cramped to me I chose for us to dine at a table setting. The only draw back to my experience is that the chairs provided at the table had a low back and since I have lower back issues I found it difficult to sit back and relax and left stiff and in pain after dining with my family which is why I give Paradise only 4 stars. Other than that our Waitress Anna was very attentive and was always available to cater to our needs. The steaks that my Wife and I ordered were cooked to perfection and were very delicious. I would recommend to anyone to give this place a try and I will definitely come back again to try the other main courses but I would like to stress to the owners to please consider changing out the dining room chairs for people like me with lower back issues! Other than that it was a...
