I made on online order at 9:00am for lunch to be delivered to me at my company at 11:30 am (the start of my 30 min lunch). I called at 11:40am when I hadn't yet seen the delivery driver and spoke to a young woman at the restaurant who informed me that they hadn't yet made my order. When I pointed out that I made a lunch order at 9:00am, she said that they don't open until 11. I mentioned that they may want to change their website as it clearly shows at the bottom of the 'directions' page that they're open from 8am to 8pm Monday thru Friday. I then asked her what they would do to make up for this completely avoidable situation and for my food being late, and she told me that they don't give discounts on Friday so there's nothing she can/will do.
When my food did arrive, at 11:58am, leaving me 2 whole mins. to eat, it was so-so/OK. I had the philly cheese steak; I've had worse, but I've also had better. At least the delivery driver was sympathetic and offered an apology; much more than the woman I talked to on the phone.
All in all, I was extremely disappointed with my first and only experience with this restaurant. There are other Greek themed restaurants in the area that, in my opinion, have much better customer service. I can't really comment on the food as I only had one generic item, but quality of food doesn't matter much to me if the service is less than poor. I recommend spending your $ at a Greek style restaurant that appreciates their customers as this one seems to be hit or miss, especially if you're looking for a...
Read moreWas in the neighborhood (Zaftig) and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. Found Yappy on google and decided to stop in. The young man taking our order seemed a bit confused about the menu platters vs bowls rice vs fries but was able to take the order and get it mostly right. There seemed to be a lot of confusion with the cooks from where we were standing… salad (lettuce) was a little brown for my liking and skimpy with the dressing but the details were appreciated … despite being a small side salad there was effort to get a banana pepper, wedge of tomato 2 slices of red onion, chick peas, olives and feta on each combo - which took effort … rhey get an E for effort
The fries r wendy’s size and prepared well. The gyro was also well dressed tho again could have used a splash more tzatziki sauce which I asked for an extra side, which I was charged for but did not receive.
Thought the hummus was a little pricey but it was delightful and the pita was served fresh and warm .. I would try them again … except I might forgo the combo confusion and just order a gyro and fries a la carte
The gyro meat was a tad salty in places where there were no toppings (think close to the base of the pita) and not enough sauce … but it was not a deal breaker
My husband had the rice instead of fries and reported it was undercooked/underwhelming . He enjoyed the gyro and was disappointed they were out or spinach dip .
Id go back, check my order more closely and as I mentioned likely stick...
Read moreThis is brand new and it just opened up around the corner from where I live. So my son and I decided to give it a try and welcome the establishment to the neighborhood. We decided to take advantage of a coupon which they had presented us, which was five Gyros for $29. When I went to pay, the total said $32. When I asked why, he said it’s because I used a credit card or debit card. He said that was the cash only price. When I pointed out that the ad didn’t say that he went ahead and said he would give it to me for that price. Much to my surprise he still rang it up for $29.99. Then the fast talking Conman tried to justify it stating that he had great expenses in opening the restaurant. Well, we all know it’s expensive to run a business and we understand this but the problem is when you’re trying to get customers in and earn someone’s business Advertising one price and then changing it when the consumer decides to use a debit or credit card is simply unacceptable. Especially in this era of debit and credit usage. Let’s be honest how many of us carry cash anymore!? The establishment itself was put together rather inexpensively. The decor was nothing to write home about nor or any of the amenities. The food was mediocre, and quite comparable to 1 million other gyro places throughout the Central Ohio area. I can think of a handful of food trucks and establishments that serve better food and I’ll honestly likely not...
