Go somewhere else. For starters everything in there was gross, covered in spilled ingredients and had liquified ice cream puddles all over the equipment and counters souring. Im sure the puddles are teaming with bacteria.
I watched an employee leave her gloves on after making a treat, to handle money, then go back to touching food with the same gloves. This is a health code violation among many I saw. I am a production manager in a food handling environment and am completely disgusted by what I saw.
I had ordered my partner a birthday cake two days prior and had an email confirmation that the cake would be ready at 3:00pm or after on Saturday. I arrived about 5:45pm. They asked to see my confirmation email about 4 times, speaking among themselves in a different language and then mumbling a bunch of stuff to no one in particular before finally admitting they could not find my cake when I asked if they had my order. She said she isn’t the one that makes the cakes, I said me either… they then do not communicate what they plan to do at all and Im just standing there at the counter….. Someone then goes to the freezer up front and pulls a generic cake from the freezer to personalize it as I had requested on my order. They ask me nothing else and disappear in the back for 10mins. Then they come up front with the cake and it says the right thing, but is not in the icing I had requested. I asked her to remake it and actually read the order. She asked me if I could come back later, I said I could not, as it was already late. She then disappeared in the back again for 10 mins and then comes back with the right icing on top,for the message but not the other special request I had added or the right color of icing on the sides… I asked for a discount since it wasn’t what I had asked for because this one would just have to do at this point, and it now has been 30 mins. I needed to go.
I had also selected two candles and had them on the counter next to the cake. She cashed me out and then said, “Did you want these candles too?” UM DUH, thats why they were on the counter and I had said “these too”. So then I had to cash out again. What a nightmare, at least they were able to provide some sort of cake in the end, but extremely poor service, communication, and cleanliness. Hope no one gets sick...
Read moreIt’s my daughters birthday today and yesterday she had seen the heart shaped valentines cake online and requested it for her birthday cake. We called yesterday asking if they had them out in stock and if we could reserve one or just pick one up today. They answered the phone by simply saying “Hello?” We asked if this was Dairy Queen and he rudely replied it was. We said sorry, we didn’t know since you answered the phone “hello?” As if it was a personal line. We then asked about the cake. We were told yes, they have them out in the freezers, no need to reserve and we can pick it up any time. We came in at 1230pm today and there were no heart cakes in the freezers and when we asked about them we were told they didn’t have them at that location yet. Just very disappointing to now be rushing around for a cake when we already confirmed the one she had truly wanted yesterday.
Edit to add: we even asked the man if he remembered someone calling about a heart cake yesterday and he said yes. So you remember and you lied or you remember and were mistaken and didn’t think to call back and let us know? Very disappointed with the customer service but unsurprised considering how all DQs...
Read moreIt's been over a year since we last visited this spot, and let me tell you, the previous experience still lingers in my memory. The smell was absolutely unbearable—I'm talking about tears in our eyes while waiting in line! Still, we thought we'd give it another shot and ventured out tonight.
As we approached, we saw a family coming out, so we assumed they were open. We didn’t even think to double-check the hours. But when we walked in at 9:45 PM, we totally missed that the "OPEN" sign was a light-up one that had already been switched off.
The moment we stepped inside, a younger employee with glasses rushed over, waving his arms like a madman and yelling that they were closed! I couldn’t believe it. At my job, we lock the doors the very second we close, but we always let customers who are already inside finish up. There was another staff member there too, so it really shouldn’t have been such a frenzy.
I totally own up to our mistake of arriving late, but there’s just no reason for such an unprofessional outburst. It really left a sour note to our evening. We will definitely not be returning to this location unless there's...
