Today it's a complete 180 of how it used to be. This is 100% true what I'm about to tell and it happened just today.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. I sat in this very restaurant with many of my family members who are no longer with us. Today I went there ordered my normal half pound burger and fries and I was told no soup or salad was available. boss was extremely rude, then when I went to check out I noticed they still wanted to charge me $1.80 for the fries and I asked him to remove the $1.80 since the soup or salad that comes with the meal was told to me that was not ready and he told me I could have had salad. then I was also told I could only have breakfast that I couldn't have my burger because it was before 9am or whatever time it is they claim they start serving burgers. my whole life I've gone there in mornings and have gotten burgers fries and soups no problem in fact I was just there few days ago Friday morning at around 8 am and had half pounder clam chowder and fries and wasn't refused burgers or soup then. I don't know what's gotten in to them. as I was walking he the boss mumbled to never come back then so clearly he doesn't want customers. I've recommend to everyone I've ever come in contact with to go there and eat and now this huge slap in the face. I will not go unheard or anything left unsaid about this horrible experience today. such a sad thing really just had my whole life history flash before my eyes and all the meals we shared together there. such a shame. if he keeps it going like that he won't have any customers left and that's a sad thing considering all the remodeling he just did to the place. wish him the best luck and hopefully he gets back on the right track, but I will not be dining there anymore after how I was disrespected today. I highly recommend anyone that has any of these similar issues to let there...

I come here frequently and have always gotten great service from the wait staff. The food is always great. The one incident that made my 5 star review 5 stars was when my fiancee and I were eating and a woman and her family came in. The woman immediately started complaining about where they were going to sit. A couple minutes later the family gets up to leave and the lady threw a temper tantrum by throwing things off the cash register counter on her way out. I knew the staff hadn't done anything wrong because we heard everything that happened and the staff quietly and quickly picked up the things she threw and returned to work as if nothing happened. No employee should have to deal with that kind of treatment from entitled customers, yet they handled it with grace. I've been coming here since I was a little girl and I will continue...

I never thought it would be difficult to screw up breakfast but they succeeded. I ordered the vegetable skillet. The spinach tasted like canned spinach. Mushrooms - canned. Seriously? How hard is it to use fresh ingredients, especially when it cost $8???? They also used enough cheese on it that it basically enveloped the entire "skillet" portion of it. So at least it was able to hide the canned flavors. Had a side of hollandaise as well. That was NOT hollandaise. It might look like it but it was so thick you could use it to seal bricks together and it was not silky with a lemon flavor. Could not even begin to determine the flavor. Not worth it, at least I know what I am getting with Perkins. Not sure why there are good reviews here. No restaurant should use canned or frozen...
