Since Google reviews are the only place to review this establishment, I cannot write one on my tripadvisor account with 750 reviews already on it. When they figure out that they are open and doing well, I can then copy and paste this review. We took out our best friends to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary on Saturday Night, 9/24/22. With fond memories of the Sweetheart on this same location, it seemed like the place to celebrate their milestone. They didn't take reservations, so we agreed to meet at 5pm. The parking lot was pretty full, but there were plenty of places to eat. Outside or inside, a perfect evening at 65 degrees and no wind. We chose inside, and were lucky to have Jane B. for our server. She was prompt and courteous and on her 2nd day on the job. We ordered drinks, Margaritas, a Bourbon Smash, and my Mudslide Martini. For meals we chose Quesadillas, a chicken sandwich, and 2 fish and chips. (I couldn't finish mine). It was delicious, piping hot, and brought out by a gang of young servers. Everyone knew everyone, and the owner stopped and chatted for a minute before our meals arrived. The ambience was great, and it would be a great venue for a wedding reception. The prime rib looked good, but $33 was a bit more than my $18 Fish and Chips, which did the job. They had gas fire pits going outside, under the deck, which features a huge tree growing up through it, with some red leaves and some still green leaves. The view is great. We will be back, maybe for a Sunday Brunch, and by then tripadvisor may realize that they aren't up to date with their dining options in Shelburne Falls, that has been open...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was our first visit for dinner, and it was a great experience. It really checked all the boxes I can think of; the building is new, provides a warm and comfortable atmosphere, has wonderful views, a very friendly and attentive staff, the food is fantastic, and the prices very fair for the quality and quantity you get. We had the seafood casserole at $30, and I can not adequately describe just how delicious it was. It was filled with lobster, shrimp, scallops, and fish, with a buttery crumb topping, and the size of the dish was huge. We couldn't finish it and took the rest home for the next day... so I really consider it a $15 meal X 2 meals. We also saw dinners going to other tables, like fried whole bellied clams, fish and chips, burgers, and more, and they all looked equally fantastic. We will definitely be back to try them as well. Don't hesitate, GO, and try it for yourself. There is plenty of parking available, although if they are really busy, that could change quickly. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow. What a disappointment. I took my girlfriend here for Valentine's dinner and left most of the dinner on the plates. Barely edible. We selected surf and turf. The Steak was bleeding rare, we were never asked how we would like it cooked. The surf part of the meal was a large shrimp, overcooked and stuffed with something. It also included the inedible sand vein. The Vegetables and potatoes not edible. Completely overcooked. The bacon wrapped scallops were undercooked and not edible. We only ordered one meal as the special Valentine's menu consisted of limited items, priced at $60.00 per person! We had a manager come to our table when we were about to leave and she asked us how the meal was. We were honest and given 15% off our bill. She only would hear one detail of our complaint and then continued on about how we would experience fine dining and food upstairs at the closed Sweetheart. We will never return to the Sweetheart Pub or recommend to anyone who asks. This meal was a costly mistake for both myself and the...
