El Sol Guerrerense is a Mexican restaurant that offers an exceptional dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you'll feel welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff, who are always ready to serve you with a smile.
One of the standout dishes at El Sol Guerrerense is their birria tacos. These tacos are simply the best you'll ever taste. The meat is slow-cooked to perfection and is tender and juicy. The spices used in the preparation of the birria are balanced perfectly, resulting in a flavor that is both savory and spicy. The tacos are served with a side of consommé that is rich and flavorful, making for an outstanding meal.
But El Sol Guerrerense doesn't stop there. They also serve amazing ramen that is sure to satisfy any cravings you may have. The broth is deliciously savory, and the noodles are cooked perfectly. The ingredients are fresh and of high quality, resulting in a dish that is both comforting and satisfying.
In addition to the food, the atmosphere at El Sol Guerrerense is warm and inviting. The decor is tasteful and authentic, and the music adds to the overall ambiance. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family.
Overall, El Sol Guerrerense is an outstanding restaurant that deserves high praise. The birria tacos and ramen are both exceptional, and the atmosphere is inviting. If you're looking for a great Mexican restaurant in Gastonia, look no further than El Sol...
Read moreOn 11/24/23, I visited the establishment with some friends. We ordered drinks the waitress accidentally spilled our drinks which ended up in my Coach purse and coach shoes damaging cash, ssn card and other belongings inside it. We paid our bill since it was an accident and the food was good. When I asked for the restaurant's insurance information, Luis said there was no need since the items were not damaged; and didn't have insurance. I was not asking them to pay for the replacement of the items but instead for the incident to be documented and to allow me contact the insurance directly. I was given the number of the other restaurant and was treated poorly. I called again this morning and I was denied the information one more time and was told to do whatever I wanted. If you decide to go, make sure you take your precautions because it looks like this restaurant will not handle issues properly.
11/25/2023- Update
I was contacted by Luis, the owner, who provided me with both the insurance information and the actual name of the Shelby location's manager, Eduardo (the gentleman that claimed his name was Luis that was present and handled the situation poorly) . I will contact the insurance company directly first thing Monday morning as they are not answering today and will continue to update...

Services were excellent and very well mannered staffs. I rarely eat Mexican food so I’m not sure what is considered “authentic” but it seems like some of what they offer on the menu are different from other nearby Mexican restaurants. The person, whom i believe is the owner, came at the end of our meal and introduced a few more of their other authentic dishes to us which I’m glad he did. If you like spicy and you like soup, i would suggest you get the 7 seafood soup (it’s not on the menu and I don’t know what it’s called in spanish). I think that will be my go to from now on besides fajitas. My husband had the Machete, my boy had a steak quesadilla, and of course my girl had her lengua(beef tongue) street tacos. Food were delicious! Overall, the experience were wonderful and I would definitely recommend El Sol Guerrerense if you truly want a...
