Big Lots — Local services in Shelby

While furniture shopping we found a set, ordered it online after 10 minutes part of the order was canceled, turns out they didn't have it in stock, No big deal we tried another store same issue so we tried another other big lots and yes I called before going and said that they had both items in stock, nope they didn't... finally we call the gastonia store and the guy im speaking with tells me he doesn't have it but he can order it, I said can you double check bc that was the problem at the shelby store.. My husband drives to gastonia only for them to tell him that they can only order one of the items we wanted but not both.... seriously Big Lots get it together please and hire people who actually do their jobs.... this was so stressful if you don't have it or can't order it get it off the sales floor... I get some people want display but that's when you put a sign on it saying last one...

This store is very big, clean and organized. Big Lots used to be a discount store, but I find it hard to find anything in here cheaper than anywhere else. I fear their days are numbered if they do not go back to thier old model of buying large lots of over stocks and discontinued items. They are basically a dollar general...

Wow! Really great prices on spices and dietary supplements! They sure did update this new location in a superior fashion to the old one! 'Lots' of more merchandise and far better organized! Clean floors, well lighted and friendly staff. Truly exceptional deals in most every category if pricing is a priority as it is...
