China Buffet of Shelby — Restaurant in Shelby

Hello to all whom reads this review. Me and my family have eatten here many times on different occasion and loved the food. Well..... So tonight we came in to celebrate my Birthday. Service was horrible absolutely horrible. Then food was not its usual now is where things get interesting. So I went to restroom after eatting and my husband went outside to smoke kids followed him. I had the cards to pay. So upon standing outside the lady asked my husband if we were finished he said yes my wife is in restroom and will be out shortly. This is no lie. The woman ran around the outside and down the road and all around looking for me told my husband she was checking mail asked again where I was. He said restroom. She busted up in the restroom and said oh ok. Then I came out and go to pay for 4 people . 2 adults 2 kids was 59.00. 59.00. So I asked was that 2 adults and 2 children? Man said yes I repeated he said yes. I paid and left. I called back and asked what the price was for adults buffet and kids. He told me 11.49 and 6.99 plus 1.85 drink. I then said why did you charge for 4 adults then.. Well that sparked a fire. He told me first off hold on. Then a lady got on. Told me to come back and get my refund. I was only refunded 5.00 and was made to feel like it was my fault. Best advice I can give you is check to make sure your being charged correctly and don't expect good service. I don't know what happened to this place but For 58 dollars Ill go to a steakhouse. It...

China Buffet of Shelby is just what my Chinese doctor ordered: more vegi's, more fish and more... well, 3 other plates of excellent quality dishes.

My guest diner, said it: There really is no other Chinese buffet around as good as this one, in its variety of good foods, served Very well prepared.

The service is excellent & attentive to my experience.

Seems this restaurant is a busy local fav... And I try stop by most of the times we're driving thru the area.

Many vegis on the bar, plus mini salad bar and variety of fruits.

The building is in good shape, Plenty of parking in front and both sides of the restaurant, and I believe I used to be a Shoney's back in yesteryear.

Enjoy all the good variety this well run restaurant has to offer. (Did i mention fried frog-legs? :)

Love Chinese food, but find here to be quiet steamy atmosphere at seatings due to all the buffets on display too close to booths to enjoy. Variety of foods, tasty and always warm sometimes hot. Keeps stock coming out refilling quickly. Do wish employees could speak more English language than Thank you, Come back to see us n Have a good day. Other wise you here this the whole time your eating it's like sitting close to an broken record hearing it over n over. Can get very annoying at times. An after a certain time for the dinner sitting the price really goes up way to pricy. I have quit going due to that. Its not worth eating a couple of plates then be hungry again in the next 20 minutes. At that price. Other counties like Gastonia has better chinese...
