They're much improved at this location. At one time, I had stopped going here, but I gave them another try recently because of the new app. The McDonald's app has some excellent deals, plus it makes customizations easy too. There are still a few bugs to work out in the mobile order process, but it's pretty good, especially considering it's new.
My biggest issues so far are: 1) They often forget to put napkins in the bag and sometimes forget straws too, and 2) If you go through the drive-thru to pick up your mobile order, even if it's something as simple as a cup of coffee, be prepared to be instructed to park and wait for someone to bring the coffee to you. In the meantime, you can watch people who were behind you get their drive-thru orders and drive away.
If it's raining or cold, I don't want to unnecessarily make their employees walk the food out to me, nor do I want to go in. But apparently they don't allow me to order through the app and actually pick up the food from the drive-thru window. (I've tried 4 times.) Surely, they will eventually change that.
I do think McDonald's got many things right with their mobile ordering system that nobody else in the fast food business had the foresight to do. Their competition will be playing catch-up for a while, I suspect.
For example, you can place your order and pay from your mobile device through the McDonald's app. Then when you get to the McDonald's location, you can choose between going through the drive-thru, parking in designated curbside parking, or going inside to pick up your order, where in some locations, you can watch the progression of your order on a large monitor. Contrast that with Chick-fil-A mobile ordering which 1) requires you to go inside to get your "mobile" order and 2) even after being over a year old, still accepts orders for locations when they aren't open because "the app is only a little over a year old and they don't have that worked out yet." SMH. McDonald's system out of the gate is far...
Read moreMy dog had a procedure today. I stopped in around 12:30 pm to buy a treat for her on the way home. The female taking the order had a temper tantrum because we politely asked for one minute to look over the menu. I could understand if we were rude or took an abnormal amount of time, but it was only a minute or two to be generous. When my guy tried to order, she quickly responded for us to hold. It is understandable to take the other cars order first. We waited patiently while the car pulled off. Then we heard her take the second cars order and watched them drive away. Now we hear the third car order and watch them drive away. When the fourth car started their order, I told my guy to park the car. The car behind us switched to the other lane. Before I walked inside, they were placing their order at the speaker. I waited a moment for an associate to walk over and then recounted our experience in the drive-through. I believe she was the assistant manager because she said the general manager was outside. I don't think the situation was serious enough to bother them. I could not trust the same staff to feed my dog. If you react so negatively to a customer taking one minute to decide between a fish or chicken sandwich, imagine the response when they have the audacity to complain inside? It is a shame. I had a completely different experience a few months ago when I had my male dog neutered. The staff was so friendly. They even gave my dogs pup cups! I did not know Mc Donalds had pup cups! It is not the end of the world. I purchased a nice roast beef sandwich for them across the street. It was healthier than the pink goo nuggets I planned to order. I doubt management will acknowledge the temper tantrum she had. If you want to trust them my only advice is to know your order before you pull up and make sure to grovel. Who knows what will happen if you catch an...
Read moreIt was terrible! The women was rude while i was ordering first off she kept rushing me, nobody likes to be rushed while trying to decide on what to eat i mean come on they have so much tasty food to choose from. Well i had ordered a carmel macchiato iced an when i had gotten my coffee i opened a new straw an put it in my cup i sipped a little then notices the carmel wasnt blended so i started stiring the carmel up an i swear there before my eyes was a black hair at the bottom of the straw in the carmel inside my cup! My hair is blonde, my sister was with me and her hair is brown that was somebodys hair from inside the store who isnt taking care of their personal hygiene whether or not they had a hat on or wasnt wearing a hair net thats disgusting! Its already bad enough that i sipped the coffee not knowing a hair was in it but whats worst is what if i continued to drink it an sipped somebodys liced up hair in my mouth!!! YUCK i am so grossed out. Of course i called back to McDonalds immediately an had them place a manager on the phone who was nice and apologized sincerely an offered to give my money back or give me another coffee which i appreciated. So i went back an the same women was at the window when i returned with the same nasty attitude she had when she first took my order the first time🙄 ..But the hair in my drink didnt even make me as irritated as the women being rude to me did. Thats what made everything worse. Get it together shelby an start lent rolling if its that bad to where hair is inside customers cups! Btw my...
