DO NOT, DO NOT eat here. Me and my boyfriend always go to el Acapulco but last night we wanted to try something new, so we came here since itās right across the road from my house. We it was Friday so i was okay with out 15 min wait time. It was only the 2 of us. We asked for a booth and they put us at a table that sits 6 in a room full of loud basketball players. Well we had to wait 15 more minutes just for our drinks. Then another 20 just to order. The price was fine. We always get the chicken fajita nachos with shrimp added. Well I told our waiter we only wanted Chicken, shrimp, cheese and chips. Well after about 30 mins we got our food. Let me tell yāall this was the driest plate I have ever seen. It didnāt even have Queso cheese like everyone serves. It was melted mozzarella!!! And it wasnāt even all the way melted. Well after that we start eating it. At the bottom it was full of beans! We told them no beans!!! So I tell them itās wrong and I wanted it fixed. So they bring Out another plate I didnāt have our shrimp!! So I tell them look. I JUST WANT MY Queso cheese, both of maybe meats and no mozzarella ! Well they bring it out and itās all god but still no queso so I ask for a side. I told him I would pay. Well you know the side dressing cups pizza places give you well he gave me one that was half the size of a normal one. I was fed up and told the manger. He was rude and didnāt fix our order and still charged full price. He told me thatās how they make their food and they wonāt change and also said ālisten lady, you donāt like our food then leaveā I will not be coming back and I hope to find a number because I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh gosh this actually pains me to write this because my husband and I have loved papas and beer for so long! We would drive over an hour to go to papas and beer in Asheville. Weāve been to this location multiple times, Iād say atleast five or six since they have opened. Iāve brought several people here because we loved it/ the first few times we went was nothing short of amazing, as usual for papas and beer. The last few times were just okay, the service sucked but the food was still great. we gave them the benefit of the doubt, after all weāve been going to papas and beer for years. After tonight I will never go back. Not only was the service absolutely terrible, our waitress was rude and literally never even came back to check on us. She didnāt even bring me tortilla shells with my fajitas. I can even understand that, people have bad nights but the food was absolutely terrible. It was gross to say the least. I got the vegetable fajitas that Iāve gotten many times, tonight it came with nothing but huge carrots that were not even cooked they were so hard and burnt mushrooms. I took a picture I couldnāt believe it. I probably would have said something to the waitress if she would have ever come back. So sad we will have to drive to the papas and beer in Asheville...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTucked nicely away on the very end of Shelby Plaza is Papa's and beer. At first glance one thinks a roadside gimmick , but then as you enter the foyer , suddenly the overwhelming smell of delicious food draws you quickly inside. I was captaved by the overwhelming decor, very tastefully done and the greeted with kindness .Personally I had the 7 pound Mega Burrito on a bet. It wasn't thrown together , but was perfectly cooked and the table presentation was fit for a King. Absolutely stunning and moreover wonderfully seasoned to perfection . Isabella was our waitress.... Polite , Respectful , caring and sincere. She knows all aspects of her job and how all dishes are created. We had the most wonderful lunch experience , without a doubt I'd be lying if I didn't say it was the best restaurant experience I've had since I moved to Shelby. I realize you've probably eaten at all the big names , but you must give Papa's and Beer a chance. If your hungry on arrival I can promise you , your going to be satisfied. More food for your dollars and overwhelming hospitality. So , go see them today and ask for Isabella. Muy Casa , Su Casa Ten out of ten stars.... If your within 60 miles it's well worth the drive. Thank you so for a most pleasant...
