Took a chance and stopped by this mid afternoon at Arby's around 3pm. One car in drive thru and one person in line. Went to the restroom. Customer in line was now waiting for his food and car was gone in drive thru. Manager walks from DR to register and gives instructions to cashier about condition of dining room. Some guy walks up to cash out his register and drive thru employees (2) cashier (front) and manager all go to the back. 25 seconds later, someone comes from back to help person checking out his drawer. Waited for another 15 seconds or so and then gave up and left. In the entire time I was waiting (I'm thinking 3 1/2 minutes max) I was never acknowledged, greeted or recognized that I even existed. This is the third time this has happened to me in the last year but this time I am done. This is why I am giving a negative comment. This place used to be a good place to eat. That was a long time ago. I'll give it a try again in 2025. Maybe they'll understand that there are plenty of places to eat and they should not ignore paying customers.
UPDATE: 01-13-2025 Stopped by at Shelbyville Arby's because their chicken sandwich sounded good and I was hungry. When I went in there was an employee talking to another employee at the counter. The conversation consisted of her not wanting to work a particular day and she wanted him to work it for her. He said that he had to work someplace else or something like that. She then proceeded to say that she was not going to work that day and that BLA BLA BLA...I tuned it out after that. I stood at the counter, got out a $20 bill and counted to five slowly. The conversation continued about her work schedule. No one greeted me. No one acknowledged me and no one told me they would be right there. I put the money back in my wallet and walked out with the conversation continuing as if I was never there. There was a time when this restaurant was a place to eat. Unfortunately, that was a long time ago. I thought about posting this on the town complaint site. There are restaurants closing in Shelbyville. I bet if those restaurants would provide customer recognition they might stay open.
Update 04-30-2025 Stopped in at 3pm for a quick sandwich. Ordered medium roast beef and potato cakes with a glass of water. Was waited on promptly and the cashier was courteous and took my order quickly. Food was below standards. Roast beef sandwich was compiled of dried leftover shavings mixed in with the fresh slices. It was probably sitting on the slicer for a while. The potato cakes were cold and had shrunk from being in the bin for too long. I'm guessing it was left over from lunch. I really keep hoping that I can get something worthy of what Arby's used to stand for. Maybe I'm asking too much. I'll try them again in...
Read moreService was the worst I have ever had or seen anywhere. Blatantly ignored you while you stood at the counter for over 10 minutes waiting on service and to even be acknowledged. When asked the young man behind the counter was very disrespectfully greeted with I know what I’m doing and I trying to get it done. Well when my order was finally taken no surprise to me that Mr. I know what I’m doing doesn’t know what he is doing cause I order a Ruben and an apple turnover however I received a turkey sandwich and a cookie. I had to clean my own table, no napkins. The place was disgusting and dirty, and the people were downright hideous and looked like they hadn’t showered and bathe in days. Besides not having no name tags in a public work environment their attitudes were more than enough to turn you away if you were looking for good service. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. I would travel 100 miles...
Read moreThis is the worst Arby's in Indiana. Every time you order from them it is missing items. This most recent experience there was a large curly fry missing from the order. Unfortunately, it went unnoticed and my boyfriend brought it home to Rushville some 20 minutes away from Shelbyville. It was too far to return so we called the restaurant and they insisted it "wasn't their problem" because we ordered online. If its not their fault at the restaurant, who's fault is it?? They filled the order and forgot the fries, and it is their address and phone number on the receipt in my email. The boy claiming to be the manager was rude and belligerent and hung up on us. We called back and spoke with an even more combative young man who cussed at us and hung up. We intend to go to the Connersville Arby's to obtain the information necessary to report this to the regional manager. We do not recommend...
