Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Shelbyville

Was not very pleased. It took about 30 or so minutes for us to get two hot subs two fries and some cheesy garlic bread. I got the chicken teriyaki and my friend got the Reuben. The chicken teriyaki did not seem like there was any teriyaki sauce the sub just tasted like the cheese all the way through it looks like maybe a little bit of teriyaki sauce was put on the bread prior to going through the oven but literally just looked like cheese and chicken on bread. On the Reuben it was drenched with dressing and also did not have much taste to it. The cheesy garlic bread was overloaded with marinara to where we almost didn't want to eat it because it was covered and busting out the wrapper. We decided to at least try it and after a few bites just ended up throwing it away. The marinara had no taste to it and it just tasted like seasoned bread. The fries were decent and seemed like Fair fries however our wait look like it was due to fresh fries being dropped in but they were cold in the bag within a minute or two so I'm not sure we even got fresh fries or not. Also they were put in the bag upside down and they were the very first item in the bag so they were all dumped along the bottom. the bread at least tasted fresh and was good and soft it did not seem like it was old. Again not too happy with the experience for spending $40. May try one local to me to give it another shot but I'm not sure if I even will. Staff seem to do okay as far as handling customers. 2/5...

I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER OVER THIS SITUATION!! DUE TO MY HEALTH CONDITIONS, MY WIFE IS MY CAREGIVER. A WEEK AGO, SHE ENDED UP HAVING TO BE PUT INTO THE HOSPITAL AND HAVE EMERGENCY SURGERY. DUE TO SOME COMPLICATIONS, SHE'S STILL IN THE HOSPITAL SO I'M HAVING TO DO THE BEST I CAN TO NOT ONLY TAKE CARE OF MYSELF, BUT ALSO OUR TWO KIDS. SO ON 9-20-25, THE KIDS AND I WANTED A COUPLE OF SUBS AND SAW THAT YOU GUYS CLOSED AT 10PM. I DROVE 20 MINUTES AND GOT THERE AT 9:40 AND COME TO FIND OUT IT WAS ALREADY CLOSED. THERE WERE NO LIGHTS ON, NO EMPLOYEES AROUND, NOTHING, BUT THE HOURS ON THE WEBSITE SAID 10PM AND THE DOOR SAID 10PM. IF THE HOURS POSTED SAY A CERTAIN TIME, YOU SHOULD STAY OPEN UNTIL THAT TIME. THAT'S WHAT WAS SO FRUSTRATING ABOUT THE SITUATION IS THE 20 MINUTES IT TOOK TO GET THERE(WHICH IS GAS), THE TIME ITSELF, BUT ALSO THE FEELING OF BEING LIED TO AND FEELING AS A CUSTOMER THAT MY BUSINESS IS...

These smushed small ahh subs …look at them that’s not even full size small sub..and bro told me I was gone get the hot fries ,I’m sure I didn’t ,then mf was not hot and looked like the ones that been sitting there already …the sandwich is a small cylinder ,smushed like a burrito ..u can’t even tell there’s anything in the sub untill u bite it ,u can’t even visibly see anything lmao ..the two pieces of the bread meet ,one smushed into the other ..lmao when have u seen a sub do that …my fries were definately burnt and old .im def not goin to this location again if I ever hit up a pen subs ..my sandwich doesn’t even have any teriyaki sauce like it was supposed to like the guy below said …the sandwich tastes dry as hell ..im disappointed smh…it seems like a lot of bread ..my sub looks similar to what the dude...
