I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I recently visited Cabell's Ice Cream and was extremely disappointed. I had to wait 10 minutes just to place my order, and then another 10 minutes to actually receive my ice cream. When I finally got it, the milk tasted spoiled. It was an all-around unpleasant experience, and I won't be returning anytime soon. When the staff did talk to me they were nice though, but seemed to push me off when i was asking questions about the menu ( asking what was good because i’ve never been here). I thought I may have found an ice cream shop in the city since i just moved here, but i was wrong.
edit: the price is also wrong or they overcharged me. menu says 6.19 for the large blizzard like item, but it was &7.85. I got the chocolate chip...
Read moreHad a huge banana split here recently and it was great, was about $6, but tasty. This place has been for sale and maybe had different owners the past few years. I am glad it re-opened this year. The owners must be deeply religious as they keep a sign on the side of the building saying trust in Jesus and play church music, which for an ice cream shop I thought to be strange, but to each their own. Guess a lil church music doesn't hurt, ha. Back to the ice cream, the cones are filled and stacked high, seems everything is a big serving, and tastes great. Sadly I forgot to snap a photo of my banana split masterpiece before devouring it, so you will have to wait for a photo or go order one...
Read moreI don’t even know where to begin. This place is a disaster. First of all, the staff couldn’t be more disinterested if they tried. It took them 10 minutes just to take my order, and there were only two people in line. When I finally got my ice cream, it was completely melted—basically flavored milk in a cup. I ordered chocolate, but it tasted more like cardboard mixed with sugar. They’re charging premium prices for what feels like gas station soft serve!
Honestly, you'd get better ice cream from your freezer at home. Save yourself the disappointment and go...
