Terrible service. I’m not the one to throw out the race card but I am to believe that my mother in law and I were treated horrible due to our race. We went on a nice shopping day for our husbands for Father’s Day and stopped by to grab a bite to eat afterwards. After sitting for nearly 30mins we never received our food nor was asked if we wanted an appetizer. Finally we received our appetizer, then eventually our waiter asked us what we would like to order. We placed our order… sat for another 30mins. Did I mention that we were the first people to sit outside? There were 4 other families who sat down after us. Every last one of them received their appetizer and their meal. While we were still sitting. Our waiter acted as if she couldn’t comprehend or understand us, but spoke clearly to the table she was assisting next to us. We kindly asked for a manager, he didn’t ask us what was wrong or anything, he proceeded to ask us why we asked for a manager (after we asked him was he going to ask us what was going on) We explained everything to him and he left, came back with a receipt. Now I don’t mind to pay at all but at this point we only ordered drinks and a small chorizo dip. He charged us for it and that was that. It was all around a terrible experience. If you are black please don’t waste your time.. unless your accompanied by other races in your party. NEVER AGAIN! I’ll take my services back to...
Read moreWill only revisit for one thing. I read the reviews and thought that I would play it safe. They start by serving 2 salsas. The mild is a waste. Like other reviews, straight tomato paste. The other salsa is spicy and a good flavor. The chorizo queso is really good! I got an order for the dip but also for the taco salad I ordered. I got the fancier taco salad. The chorizo barely helped it. It was the tasteless. It ended up wasted, unfortunately. But the chorizo is very good. I wouldn't mind just going to order several orders of it to go. I was there with someone else who was not very impressed but ate all their food. Our waiter was the guy, probably someone's husband. It seemed he was only there because he had no choice. A bit like an Al Bundy at work or something. He made a comment that seem a bit ridiculing, or maybe it was just a really bad joke, I am really not sure. Service was ok. Maybe they can use the blender for making drinks in the kitchen instead of at the bar? I have to give a hand out to small businesses, family business, and the like. A lot of work has to be put into the business, work that I have no clue about and they have made it this far. So I give 3 stars for the Chorizo and for being a productive...
Read moreI went to the El Nopal In Simpsonville, Ky today I sat at the bar as I was waiting on a friend to arrive. I set for about 10 minutes before anyone ask me if I wanted anything I said yes an that I was waiting on someone to arrive I ordered myself a frozen Raspberry margarita w/sugar was brought a frozen Lime margarita w/salt. I was made to feel very uncomfortable by the staff that was working seeing that they kept looking over at me and was whispering among themselves an snickering. I was ask three times if I was ready to order an I kept telling them I was waiting on a friend that was joining me. I have been to the restaurant before always with my friend with me an have never been treated like that. I really don’t know that I will ever go back there again that is how uncomfortable I felt..
**I do want to add that after my friend arrived an was able to order a drink that was properly made I did get to speak with the manager and he did remake my drink which the lady that made it before did not offer to do. I do appreciate that the manager did speak with me but I believe it was only because they had been notified of a bad review an I was still sitting in the...
