Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Simpsonville

This place is a joke. The blonde haired woman taking our order was so rude unfortunately I noticed her name tag said Shonda and She was the actual store manager 🙄🤦🏼. She had absolute zero enthusiasm and acted as if it was taking time out of her night to bother waiting on us. She was short with my wife when she only was trying to make conversation and ask about the area (we are from Texas originally) made my wife feel very miniscule. Then spent 10 minutes in the parking lot smoking 🚬 and talking to a tatoeed guy I'm assuming is her man as she kissed him multiple times. Not that this is my business I say this because while this took place our food set under the warmer and the only other employee was in the back on their phone a guy with white hair older guy who never looked up even after we asked for help. Finally "Shonda" came back inside teeking of cigarettes and said here's y'all's food set our tray down and walked off. No thank you or need anything or anything. My wife asked for a ranch and she came back while rolling her eyes and said yeah normally we charge but tonight I'll let u have it since u had to wait. And walked back away. By far one the worst rudest interactions of any DQ I've ever visited and I drive CDL loads all over the midwest and have been in many DQ's and this is the worst. The owners or corporate office may want put a person in charge that actually cares and wants to be there not a rude, condescending and obviously uninterested lady. The tattoos blonde hair and attitude gave the place a bad vibe when it was actually clean and nice building and great location with lots room and potential. Right by the truck stop. If th company cares and doesn't give just some cookie cutter auto response asking me for more information, then I ask u get a GM who cares about customers not...

Came in today, 9/14 around 3:00 pm. Floors were super sticky as soon as we walked in. The blonde lady with the long black eyelashes took our order of 2 blizzards and a cone. It took 20 minutes to get our order but I was being understanding because I saw they only had 2 people working. We get our order and I am supposed to have a reesee's caramel craze and she gave me a smores, no reeses at all. I picked one of the chocolate pieces out to show her that it was in fact a smores and she argued with me and said no it isn't. So I sit back down and I'm mad at this point so I google a picture of the smores blizzard to show her that is in fact what she gave me. I show it to her and she said, "yeah, we're out of the chocolate pieces." So I said, then why did you try to make me look crazy by acting like you made it right? She said nothing and just asked if I wanted a refund and was sassy the whole time she was helping. Part of the reason I was upset is because I can't have marshmallows and there was some sort of marshmallow in it that I could taste. Do better...

Needed to grab a quick bite, stood at the counter for several minutes while at least 7 employees looked straight at me but never acknowledged me. I was 15 seconds from turning around when another employee finally took my order and apologized for the wait. I believe her name was something like Quella? She's the only reason I ended up not leaving. Ordered chicken bacon ranch sandwich, the ranch was overused and the bread tasted like it would have been fantastic if they had remembered to close the bag between uses. Half the top bun was so stale I couldn't eat it.I was running short on time and was eating in my car so couldn't have them remake it. Generally DQ is really good and this was my first time at this location so my rating reflects that as well; could have been one star.
