Read moreThis is my first experience with Mia's table. I didn't know what to order but I was with a friend who said that she was getting the taco salad. Her brother-in-law had ordered it and looked fabulous she said. I didn't want to use salad and I really wanted soup so I opted for their taco soup and salad I don't forget the actual name of it however it's in the soup and salad section. In today's economy I think this was an excellent deal! I got a salad approximately the same size as my soup. They told me the soup is the same size as the individual soup order that the salad was a bit smaller. If I had only order soup and it was that size I might have been upset at the cost bad for I think $3 more I got the salad. It was more than enough food. I will say however it was only okay food. Way too many tortilla strips in the soup. And the salad was okay. I loved the crispy bowl that it was in and I understand why they put the queso on top but I'm not much of a queso person in a salad dish but that's not their fault that's mine. All in all it was a pleasant experience. the food was good although a little pedestrian. The next time I go I will definitely try other menu options. The family behind us had a plate of onion rings that looks divine.
This is a casual restaurant with charming decorations. You have your choice of booths or tables. You order when you come in the door take a sensor of some sort and put it on the table and they deliver your food to you. The one thing I did not like is that since I had never been to the restaurant I had to stand there trying to decide quickly what I wanted to order. I would have preferred the opportunity to pursue menu at the table. But like I said if I had been there before it would have been a different process for me. They give you your glasses you self-serve your drinks. However, at the end of the meal they have a free ice cream cone. That was a lovely touch.
I think this is a nice place and it was welcoming to families. I met a dear friend we had a lovely visit while we ate. I would recommend it just check for you...
Read moreMia's Table... interesting name, different, worth checking into.... after a long day of DI competition, my family was exhausted and hungry. Of course, the question always comes up... where should we eat? My husband remembered seeing the Mia's Table sign on the way to the competition. "Let's check it out, why not?" When we walked inside, we immediately smelled delicious food. But, oh no, my worst nightmare, you had to know your order quickly!! It was one of those order before you sit down places!! Okay, so it's really not that bad, but I'm one of those people who takes like 20 minutes to study a menu and pick out the just right choices for a meal. Luckily, there were little menus by the door and chairs against the walk that you could sit on. Se we did just that. I studied the menu, but it didn't take long for me to know just what I wanted, the chicken salad sandwich with a side of green beans and mac and cheese. My daughter ordered a hot dog with a side of fruit, and my husband ordered chicken fried steak. We paid for the meal and the cashier handed us a food beeper buzzing light up thingy. The restaurant was very busy and seating was limited, but we found a spot at the back of the restaurant. Our food came out quickly. Our meals were fantastic. I ate every bite of mine. For dessert, Mia's has an ice cream machine. We grabbed cones and filled them up with soft serve vanilla ice cream. We ate them on the way out. Overall, the experience was perfect. The food was divine, and it was a great family-friendly atmosphere. We'll...
