America is a humongous country, the 3rd largest by landmass, and many micro-cultures throughout...we came to this bar because The Mint was closed for a private party.
-First thing you'll notice is that is not a gay or LGTBQ bar, despite the name. -Second thing you'll notice is the stench, smell, and stink of first, second, and third hand smoke need to know is that Smoking is still permitted indoors if the business owner allows it, and places signage regarding that. Yup, it still exists! -Third is that this is a true local dive bar, with dead animals, old furniture, pool tables, and the local characters that go along with it, all of whom were friendly including the bartender ladies. -Fourth drinks are cheap here, at least compared to California and New York. I purchased 9 drinks(bought the first round for my 6 other friends), which included cocktails and beers, and my entire bar tab was only $43...awesome!!!
This bar is certainly not for snobby elitist tourists and social media influencers, but if you can handle the disgusting smoke it's a nice place to relax with cheap drinks and...

Very nice lady barkeep welcomed me. Ordered locally made Blacktooth Ale. Excellent brew! Guys playing friendly game of Billiards 🎱. Several pool 🎱 tables. One Slot machine 🎰 if you like to gamble 🎲 and there was a small crowd around it as player was on a winning streak. Other games and Darts were also available. Two large flat Tv 📺 screens at each end of the long wooden bar were playing Sports. Such a friendly welcoming place. I took along of pictures.
