**If you are passing through, wondering if you should stop—YOU SHOULD!
This place is amazing. Talk about a complete gem of a find. We were driving through, nearing hanger status with desolation surrounding us. Scouring the route, I spotted this gem on google maps (much like I’m sure you just did!) We made it about 20 minutes to closing, not really sure what to expect.
When we walked in and were greeted with an amazing hot case. This sucker had cabbage rolls, pork loin, beautiful chicken cutlets, meatballs, sausage, vegetables, etc.
The owner was so kind, and so willing to make us anything we wanted to eat, despite our late arrival.
In my experience, The ordering process isn’t confusing; you just have to tell them what you want to eat, they will make it happen, and charge you accordingly. Very, very fairly.
I wanted to sample everything, and built my own tasting menu. I basically got everything in that hot case, some pasta, and a pastry for under $100. Unbelievably fair, especially considering everything is made fresh and tastes it. These are real ingredients made into real food by real nice folks.
If I had to split hairs and give a critique, our blueberry pastry was a bit dry. To be fair, we did come literal minutes before closing. I’m sure in its prime, it was a tantalizing treat.
We will be back whenever we are within a 100 mile radius!
Wish I had more photos to share, but we ate before I remembered! Here’s a snapshot of the delicious dill butter on their seriously comforting...
Read moreThis was our first and only time trying this place :/ we had been thinking about giving it a try for a long time and finally decided to try. Ordered italian meatballs(just meatballs, but also recieved noodles we did not want) which did have a price difference) ordered the Ukranian meat patty that was supposed to have mushroom gravy. Was not informed till it reached my table that they were out of gravy. Why not tell me when I ordered my food? This left the food very dry as it is essentially fried. Wouldn't have been a big deal if they would have told me the item wasn't available due to being out of its sauce. Then I asked for my cheesecake, which I had paid for with the rest of my food and the young girl asked if I had paid for it already. Mind you she took my order, I never left, and there was only 2 other orders she took. I even told her I was going to get it before we left upon ordering. Just all together not the greatest experience. We really wanted to like it, and if we were given what was displayed on the menu it would have been great. I would have tried something else if they had told me the sauce was unavailable. Nost dissapointing $50 I've spent in a...
Read moreMy recent experience at Olha’s Market was beyond welcoming. They were sweet and kind to us: the chef was very polite and was able to give us information about their culture and how they got to Sheridan. Olha’s Market opened in August of 2024. Their chef is from Italy and most of the staff is Ukrainian. Their prices are comfortable for all ages, as it only costs $9.99 for a massive breakfast sandwich while the macaroons are $3.99 and the scones were $4.99. They are also known for their pastries: beignets, donuts, and a variety of breads. You might be tempted to compare their pirces to McDonald’s where an Egg McMuffin can be close to $12.00. Olha’s is fresher and faster than McDonald’s anyway. If a restaurant felt like home it would have to be Olha’s with how cozy it is. Homemade food and polite service make for a welcoming experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I would also like to add that, with me being a bookworm, this would be a place that I would go to relax, have some warm food, and read a book. This place truly does...
