Southern Maid Donuts — Restaurant in Sherman

I went there this morning to use my Major Saver card with the intent of redeeming one dozen glazed donuts for free when you buy one dozen donuts. The card clearly does NOT say a specific type of donut to buy, just that you get a dozen glazed for free when you buy a dozen donuts (See pic). It would seem to me no matter if you purchased 12 apple fritters (which is a type of donut) or 12 regular glazed donuts, that it would meet the requirements to redeem the coupon right? I bought a variety of 12 donuts which in value were far more expensive than the dozen free glazed donuts offered in the coupon and was told they could not redeem it because there were certain types in my order. I told them I am buying a dozen like the card says, the young woman told me that's how she was told to handle it. I assume management/owners directed her to handle it this way. I told her I disagreed and that it is a bad business practice. Absolutely disgusted with this place. We ordered our usual donut shop order assortment of pig-in-blanket, sausage egg and cheese croissant, donut holes and donuts. Donuts tasted like they were from Walmart donut box. Croissant sandwich was definitely microwaved out of a Jimmy Dean frozen box. Donut holes were stall and tasteless. Pigs only had half cut weiny and were definitely just cheap hot dogs not sausage at all. Building is falling apart and mold all over drive thru window. I suggest to steer clear of this place. I love the blueberry cake donuts here, best donuts anywhere, and trust me I've hit up every donut shop around to find the best one. I could use a better breading for the pigs n a blanket, it's kinda dry now, but hey, I still eat at least 3 at a time, and always finish it off with a Starbucks Mocha in a bottle from here.
