McMenamins Sherwood — Restaurant in Sherwood

This was one of favorite spots as local woman who works a lot. I thought it was a safe place to be by yourself as a woman to work on your laptop and have a few drinks after work I travel a lot for work I'm either driving or flying and so I always stopped into this place because a lot of my friends come here so does my family. The other day there was an accident that occurred where my laptop went missing. The guy bartender with sleeve tattoos was working and he knew a guy that was sitting next to me who seemed like a really cool guy and had asked for my number I thought we were having a really good time and having a good conversation when I got home I realized I had misplaced my laptop I had reached out to the restaurant and the guy who gave me his number never accused him of anything just asked him if he maybe had it, saw me leave with it and it was a very suspicious the answers I was getting and because he was a stranger I had no idea who I was dealing with so I called to talk to the people at the restaurant that knew him. I had called the restaurant and asked him if they would look again please. The manager said he looked and he didn't find anything acted very irritated with me just because I kept asking could you check this specific area because it's very easy to misplace the type of laptop I have. I ended up tracking my laptop and it pinged twice at the restaurant so I called back the next day to talk to the manager again and a girl had answered she's probably the youngest girl blonde girl that is there (she the one who knew the guy too) and the manager was like talking over her in the back she wasn't listening to me I was asking her if she could check again please because the police said that when I had set up my tracker that it had pinged one more time that morning at the restaurant. This girl decided to become confrontational with me saying well you can just come back in and check and I tried to explain to her that I had already came in and checked and did not need to come back but that there was a police report made and letting her know that it pinged there again and it was just weird that they were saying it was not there but yet it pinged I didn't want to come in because of how uncomfortable they're making me feeling they just kept repeating you can come look yourself come look yourself no matter what I said I just wanted help in finding it thinking that these were nice people. Boy did I find out the hard way by letting this woman know that if I had to come back in I would have to bring the police with me she changed the whole story and ended up texting The stranger next to me saying that I accused him of stealing my laptop only to have that stranger text me, call me names and harass me. I called the manager and spoke with him about her starting drama that it can cause dangerous consequences for people's lives all because her intentions were insidious for whatever reason. Manager said that he will be talking to HR I will be following up in about a month to make sure because this is ridiculous I was a bartender for 12 years and I never ever had situations be treated like this way. This is all embarrassing for me to write but I had to write a review about this because people need to know that you're not safe in a lot ways at this restaurant by yourself anymore with the current staff and you can't trust the staff to have your back especially if they know that person you'll end up getting harassed and bullied for no good reasons. I really hope that this girl/woman learns from this lesson because this is extremely unprofessional and dangerous with what she decided to do with the...

We weren’t starving—we came in just to kill time. I’d never been to this McMenamins before, but I love the one near me, so I chose it over my parents’ suggestion. Big mistake. We ordered Cajun tots and tacos. When we politely asked for an extra ranch, the server didn’t even acknowledge us—just walked off. When she finally came back, my dad had to ask again because it’s ridiculous to expect three people to share one tiny cup! And guess what? She gave us the most disgusted, confused look and said, “You need another?” Yeah, we did—what’s it to you? My parents like ranch, and i like to mix ketchup in mine! What difference does that make that i want my own?!?

She came back once, muttered “y’all good here” as if she was doing us a favor, and bolted before we could even request water. Let me add, I was charged more for the items—though honestly, that’s the least of my complaints. The bigger problem? Some people just shouldn’t be in customer service, and she’s one of them.

For the record, I won’t be back. Not that you care about what you might call a karin for speaking the truth comes back. I’d rather avoid the fear of someone adding an “extra ingredient” to my food for daring to speak up about such appalling service....

Normally i give a 5 star review on this place. We came for dinner 2 nights ago, 1/13/25 and i ordered the gyro and it was so delicious ive been thinking about it for 2 days. I raved that it was better then the gyro house down the block. We decided to go get the same meal today 1/16/25. Time difference today was 4 pm. And the 13th it was 6:30 pm. Different shifts? I dont know ...this gyro i was dying to have again. This one was so dry it was hard to swallow. No feta cheeseand barely any tziki, if any at all, which is in the description of the sandwich and was obviously thrown together. With no concern for the presentation of the plate... Definitely not worth $20.50 i was charged for the plate because i ordered cajin tots. Charged extra for them and tots were on the plate but not cajin tots as ordered. I checked online and it listed that the restraunt was "less busy than normal". Im wondering what was the problem today? Why was this such a terrible sandwich today but so delicious 3 nights ago. Whatever cook they had working on 1/13/25. At 6:30 PM ish needs. Raise and should teach the 1/16/25 cook how to make the food...
