Me and my family visit LBI every year for vacation and have sampled almost every spot on the island. We decided to pay a visit to this small hole in the wall bar to end the night and were met with nothing but disrespect. I’m a 22 year old who walked in at 11:30 at night on a Tuesday. I was there with my MOM and my 50 year old uncles and aunts. We were grabbing one drink to end the last night of our family vacation. I was turned away at the door after my REAL ID didn’t pass through their scanner. The bouncer had already started off with an attitude being disrespectful to our group for walking right in when he wasn’t in his spot by the door. Then he proceeds to mix up my ID with my 50 year old aunts ID…not sure how that mistake was made. Then proceeds to inform me he cannot let me in because my ID didn’t pass through the scanner. He borderlines harassment the way he continuously informed he cannot let me in and that he actually could call the cops on me FOR A REAL ID. He proceeded to ask me security questions that I answered with ease and still did not let me. Why I was asked questions to still be turned away is beyond me. Coldest beer on LBI! After yesterday, in my opinion, they have taken over first place for best cheesesteak as well. The famous roast beef sandwich au jus has been a melt-in-your-mouth local favorite for a long time. If you like the unassuming atmosphere of a neighborhood bar with a pool table this is the place to visit! Bring cash because credit cards do not fly here. !!BEWARE!! THIS PLACE LIKES TO DELETE POOR REVIEWS!!!! My wife, sister, and I all went in for drinks and some food a few weeks back. The service was not only subpar but it was almost nonexistent. After waiting for 10 minutes, at the bar I might add, for someone to even acknowledge us we got drinks and some apps in. It took a whole lot of attitude from the bartender to even do so...After eating we then proceeded to sit there with empty drinks for upwards of 15 minutes while all the "regulars" around us got over the top service.
