Uncle Louie G's Italian Ices and Ice Cream — Restaurant in Ship Bottom

Taking a ride down LBI trying out the new four wheel drive Toyota pickup truck while it's not brand new we rebuilt it but not in the same it's new to us so as we ride around we already had our dinner at Doyle's in Berkeley so we were looking for some dessert and a nice ride so down the LBI we go we're riding around and I catch this Uncle Louie's ice cream and have soft ice cream hard ice cream and they have Italian ice and we went in prices they're not super expensive but they're not inexpensive the kind of in the middle we had two cones and that was $20 that's a little in the middle for me there I guess cuz you're paying for something in LBI but the ice cream was very good being homemade and the service was fantastic and a good time we sat outside we watch the people walk up and down we enjoyed ourselves have fun enjoy your summer take your family there beer in LBI their ice...

If you have dairy or nut allergies I would not recommend Uncle Luigi in Ship Bottom NJ as a shop to visit. There case that has dairy free ice cream was stored in had the tubs stacked on top of each other with no lids. So the tubs had the bottom of other tubs inside the another tub on top of the dairy free ice cream. Also in the same case with dairy free nut free ice cream they had a tub of ice cream with nut stored along side the dairy free ice cream We had been the prior 2 nights and that was not the situation. When I contacted the owner he did not seem to care. When you have member of your family with allergies you have to be very carefully when purchasing. When it first opened it was the best deal on the island but prices have climbed to compare with every other place. They play 50's music which is nice and place is very clean. Owner is often moody and he sometimes is difficult about honoring coupons that he gives out and doesn't ever remember you even if you go there often. All in all, great product but if I'm spending $40-50 on ice cream for my family would rather go to...
